INTRODUCTION In this presentation, SWOT analysis is carried out by me for the post of general manager in Dorchester Hotel. My personnel and professional skills are also honestly identified by myself which will assist me to know the areas where improvement is needed in my performance. I also prioritise my objectives to improve the performance of my workforce.
2.1 Assessment of own management skills To better perform in the organisation, an employee should know about his/her skills which will assist to utilize the potential in an effective manner. Being the general manager, I must have management skills in my working style which will help me in achieving my daily based targets effectually. 2.2 Personal SWOT analysis With the help of SWOT analysis, I can identify my strengths and develop strategies to overcome with the weaknesses. This will assist me to develop a level of accuracy in my working style. With the help of SWOT analysis, I would also forecast all such opportunities and threats which will assist me to take appropriate decision-making for my best future in Dorchester. 2.3Settingandprioritisingobjectives and targets After the above SWOT analysis, it becomes easy for me to develop planning to set priorities which will help in overcoming with the loopholes. Here, list of target is enlisted below for which I set my objectives to achieve them all significantly: •Time management •Adaptability •Raising confidence •Multitasking
CONCLUSION After summing up of the above study, it is concluded that when an employee assessed his/her own performance, then this will become easy for him\her to enhance their skills in an effective manner. Self-actualization of own skills help in knowing about my own working strength. With the help of SWOT analysis, it becomes easy for me to set my working priorities as per my strength and weakness that assists in achieving my business targets.
