As a manager of Travelodge, I will use solutions in various aspects in myorganisationforminimisingtroublesand obstacles faced by employees and they are discussed below: Communicationskills:Communicationisverycrucialin business. It helps in exchanging the information, ideas and views of different people in the organisation. It is very important for the manager to communicate appropriately in an organisation. To reduce this problem, I would effectively communicate with my colleagues and staff in terms of instructing them of having clear missionandvisionabouttheorganisationandworkin accordance with it. Moreover, to reduce staff turnover, I would communicate with my subordinates regarding their problems and address them accordingly to maintain a healthy environment. Motivation: Motivation goes a long way in reducing employee turnover. As a manager, it’s my duty to motivate employees eitherfinancially,in formofrewardsand bonusesornon- financially like enrichment, transfers, etc. which will improve the performance of employees and help them to work with full zeal and confidence for attainment of goals. Motivation would allow me to retain the staff at Travelodge and ensure their consistent performance. Training: It is the method which helps in providing effective guidanceandtrainingtotheemployees.Asthebusiness environment is highly dynamic so organisation has to keep updated it policies and programs. TheseprogramsofTravelodgemaybefocusedon individual performance or team performance. In order tomaximizetheeffectivenessoftrainingand development program, organizations must constantly assess and identify their employees current training and developmentneedstopreparethemfortheirnext positionstoachievehighergrowth.Thus,when employees are fully trained and aware of the duties which are required to be performed by them, then it further helps in solving problem of the organisation. Dividing work: It is useful for solving work related problems because a clear cut job description and duty assignment for each employee ensures that all necessary tasks are completed. I will be assigning specific duties also allows employees to specialize and perform their tasksefficiently.Anevaluationofyourcurrent employees and their responsibilities is a key step in dividing duties. It also eliminating redundancy in the duties each person performs makes more efficient use of time and money in Travelogue. Resolving conflicts:I will try to resolve the issues and conflictsthatmayarisebetweentheorganisation, individuals or teams. Conflict Resolution requires a lot of time and commitment. One of the ways to further engage the employees of Travelodge in the conflict resolutionprocessistohelpthemunderstandwhy conflict resolution is beneficial at the workplace. It helps in building relations and workers will work with full confidence and zeal. It enhances the commitment betweenconflictingpartners.Workingthroughthe conflict with others unites the conflict partners as they face problems and deal with challenges together.

4.2 Communication in variety of styles Communicationisveryessentialinanorganisation verbally, non verbally or written. Without effective and efficient communication, no organisation can exist. As a managerofTravelodgeIwillusethefollowing communication styles in my working: - Assertive style: This is the healthiest and most effective style of communication. I will use this style for various purposes like accomplishing goals without hurting the employees, medium pitch while speaking, maintaining propereyecontact,etc.Thiswillenhancethe confidence level in me while communicating. Because assertiveness is based on mutual respect, it's an effective and diplomatic communication style. Being assertive shows that the employees of the Travelodge respect themselves because they are willing to stand up for your interests and express your thoughts and feelings. It also demonstrates that you're aware of the rights of others andarewillingtoworkonresolvingconflicts.By adopting this style in my working I will be able to gain self-confidenceandesteem,earnsrespect,improves communication, etc. Submissivestyle: This style is about pleasing other people and avoiding conflict in the organisation. This style will help me in identifying that other people's needs are more crucial and they have more rights. In this style, I will maintain soft pitch of voice. By adopting this type, people in Travelodge try their best to please others and avoid conflict. They will treat the needs of other as more important than theirs and behave as if the other person has more rights and more to contribute. They are apologetic because they feel as if they are imposing when they want something. They try their best to avoid any confrontation and will yield to preferences of other people. They feel like the victim and they refuse compliments and don’t express their desires or how they Setting deadlines: I will set deadline for completion of task. This will help employees to not to ask regularly to the superiors about when they need task to be completed. This will also help them in determining how much time they will have to devote for a particular task so that it can be finished before the deadline. Effective planning:I will train my employees for making effective plans for their day. If they will plan their day in advance with proper time allocations, then it will become easy to achieve success and higher growth and enhance development. By planning effectively, I will be completely aware of all the tasks that are to be completed within the specified time frame. Delegate some tasks:As a manager, I will need to get the work done, but it doesn’t mean I have to do all the work by myself. Delegate some of the tasks to your colleagues or subordinates. I will make my subordinates feel empowered. This will help in completing all the targeted tasks efficiently. Some of the tasks may need special expertise so don’t hesitate to take the help of colleagues or peers, expert in that area. Some of the tasks may demand only supervision from my side, don’t get fully engaged into the work. Promoter style:This style is about increasing enthusiastic and people driven. This style will help me in maintaining inter personal connections with my employees. When I will use this style in Travelodge then people will spend hours talking about their weekend plans but will also detail a project from start to finish, providing the most intricate of details. They are always talking about their lives, plans, and ambitions, and are just as quick to ask you the same and they will love to deliver personal messages to the colleagues. Controller style:This style will make me act as controller which focuses on goal and major motivation is on to get things done. In this, I will communicate point to point, set and clarify goals and objectives, solve problems and objectives, etc. By suing this style, I will be able to motivate and dedicate people towards their tasks. I will be able to make them goal-oriented and determined to meet deadlines and objectives. 4.3 Various time management strategies Time management refers to managing time effectively so that the right time is allocated to the right person. It is one of the most important skill in life. If an individual is not managing time well, then they cannot accomplish goals and objectives of work and life. Time is the greatest equaliser in life. As a manager of Travelodge, I will various time management strategies which will help in reducingemployeeturnoverandtheyarediscussed below: Setting goals: I will set the goals right way by using SMART goal method.This will help me in setting goals by giving proper structure and plan. The best way is to break these daily goals into chunks of small manageable activitiesofshortertimetargets.Trackingthe performance against these goals at the end of the day. This will help me to keep an eye on the progress towards improving work performance in Travelodge. Setting priorities:I will set work priorities and complete the most demanding and important task first.This will help me in managing time according to the task which are needed the more priorities. Experts agree that the most importanttasksusuallyaren'tthemosturgenttasks. However, we tend to let the urgent dominate the lives.
