INTRODUCTION
In today's time personal activities take important part in success of every business. In this
context, organisation results and outcomes develops in positive way. Today's time people learn
through perform several functions and operations in practical way. Skills and knowledge within

sector business and promoting objectives and outcomes. In this context, report also focuses on

Furthermore, it includes work based problem that assists to intend work for future goals to take
solution in systematic aspect. In addition to this, plan also considered that create effective
functioning in business to focus on the goals and objectives.

Approaches of self management learning – it is a way of managing of over self with
increasing knowledge. In every company use this programme because easily they can mange
over employee fit in programme and that staff is developing in certion direction. Marriott hotel
can us self management approaches in develop employer skill. That approaches are –
evaluation if self learning approaches
 seminar and conference – in this Marriott hotel staff sharing their ideas and experience
that can increase employee skill related to personally and professionally life. its also help
to improving to confidences of speaking.
 Social networking – in this a person mostly time spend on the social networking side like
Facebook tweeter etc. Marriott hotel having any information they can share it and employ
read easily.
 internet -people are use to internet gating knowledge these knowledge people can share
with co-workers at their work place.

 Self assessment-in this Marriott employee are facing problem and taking decision. Then
learn Mostly individuals learn for their experience, situations which occurs and by
viewing their life.
 Personal assessment- in this Marriott employ individualize doing about what is her ,him
personally doing swot analysis. Its also help to knowing strength weakness opportunity
and threat. They easily know about personally in this they know what problem are facing
in future and making to barrier.
 Search – in this Marriott employee search and only for aim an d increasing knowledge
but they need practically knowledge about professionally life. Different search engine
like google, yahoo give only for knowledge not ex[experience .
1.3 Benefits of self-managed learning to the individual and organisation-
Marriott hotels employee it increasing when self-abasement learning then automatically
increases compaction and learning always given the deep knowledge about the Company its
increasing competitive in professionally and personally (Moon,2013). Its help to updating
knowledge. Marriott hotel provided some time training but employee not getting thinks and not
achieving goals that happened only;y for the not having employee elf learning . Organization-every organization give the training but some reason employee not
achieving the proper goal and target that time they are lack of the self management t
learning. Self management is this work in team when a employee not doing work then

there employee know then they arrange it and managing team. Its also help to
coordinating with the team and understanding problem to each other.

updating the knowledge confidence etc. every employee about the goal aim. In that
employee use the strengths and reduce weakness point. Its helping the increasing

My wish to work as the HR at Marriott which assists to deals with accomplishment of the
objectives and goals. In this aspect, quality of services will be delivers to make sure that goals
and objectives will be accomplish in systematic way. It also provides me opportunities to
enhance my skills and knowledge in systematic aspect (Albion, Tondeur and Peeraer, 2015).. In
addition to this, it aims to understand customers and employees requirement to provide healthy
environment in business. In respect to work as HR at chosen business I require different skills
that assists to fulfil my tasks in effective manner. Therefore, it assists to accomplish effective
functions in business unit.
Problem solving: In several hotels, employees and customers have conflict which also
create issues and problems. Therefore, this skill I require solve issues and understand each
customer requirement at workplace.
Leadership: HR need to create control on employees and providing proper instruction
and tasks. In this aspect, motivating employees needed to accomplish the goals and objectives in
systematic way (Moss, Gibson and Dollarhide, 2014). HR also required to enhance efficiency of
work to improves effective results at workplace.

aspect. With the help of proper time management, each task will be performed in significant
manner (Albion, Tondeur and Peeraer, 2015).
Effective communication: Communication is very important parameter that assists to develop
relationship with several members towards the issue and problem. Therefore, problem will be
solved to accomplish goals and objectives (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and Turunen, 2016).

As the individual have the various development opportunities to meet the current and
future needs such as:
Prioritising time: as the it is the most important aspect for the individuals life is that they should
priorities the time. So that a perfect work life balance can be made and it will get the time for
other learning. More the individual focus to give priorities their time they will feel free and the
current needs can be made easily (Stenfors and Hayes, 2012).
Managing stress: As the stress in the youth has been increase due to personal and professional
problems. So it is important for the individual to mange their stress from the various mediation

3.1 Implement the developmental plan
The Following activities will be helpful for developing my skills and they are as follows:
 Self assessment:It helps me a lot in determining the knowledge and skills that required
under individuals (Von and Haenisch, 2012). The self assessment procedures is helpful to
know about te individual and its performances and it also describes about the position of
individuals that where he stands in te market.
 Specification of goals:The goals and objectives should be arranged in such a manner that
it will helpful for the individuals in telling about the performances and whether there
performance is enough to raise down the organisational objectives and it should been
noted by individual and perform it accordingly to raise the objectives.
 Activities:All the activities which are performed under organisation should been
identified clearly. The organisation should considered down the performances in terms of
financial and non financials and assessed it in order to take effective decisions so that
organisational can raise its objectives.
3.2 Development activities as planned
 Online tests:There are many so many tests are there which conducting online so that it
tends to be very helpful for the employees in improving their time management
leadership skills and communication skills and after the test bee over it also helps down
the employees that what are the areas that require more focus (Nicholls,2014.).
 Videos:there are so many videos are available online through which the employee can
develop their skills and also it motivate the employees so that every time they are
performing in a productive manner. the videos related to planning,organising,leadership
skills,time management and so on.
 Note making:The employee can improve their performance by way of note making and
employee managing their time,recalling the things so these certain things helps the m in
developing their skills and improving their performances.

4.1 Work based problem
At workplace of Marriott hotel, there are various issues and problems take place which
impact on functions and operations. Employees are performs very crucial role to solve these
types of issues which assists to develop profitability at workplace. These issues create negative
impact on the business (Healy, Block and Kelly, 2016). Therefore, following are certain ways
adopted that assists to solve issues in effective way:
Adopting motivational techniques: In this aspect, the chosen organisation has
responsibilities to implement different kinds of motivational techniques that assists to meet with
goals and objectives. With this regard, manager of Marriott hotel has duty to adopt Maslow's
hierarchical model that assists to motivate different level of workers. It also helps to cover
important areas through employees can motivated (Sangster, 2017).
Providing training: Employees also requires to providing training program through they
are able to know about roles and responsibilities in clear aspect. With this regard, skills will be
enhancing that are posses by workers to promote effective functioning (Moss, Gibson and
Dollarhide, 2014).
With the help of above points, it can be determines that problem of the Marriott will be
solved in effective manner to motivate different people at workplace. As results, qualitative
services will be provided to develop outcomes at workplace (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and
Turunen, 2016).

In respect to make creative results at workplace, there are different operations and
functions performed by Marriott. At different level, of the organisation, different ways has been
adopted that assists to meet with goals and objectives (Willemse, ten Dam and Volman, 2015).
They are as follows:
 Top management: In respect to make creative results, communication required in
effective aspect. In this way, problems will be share and suggestion made by HR to
conduct board meeting and conferences. It is the effective model and basic way that
assists to communicate relevant information among the members (Shuler and Keller-
Dupree, 2015). In addition to this, in conferences and meeting, presentation also make
creative results to create several changes towards the issue and problem to solve in
effective manner. The kinds of changes assist to promote effective results at workplace.
 Employees: Further, in respect to communicate effectively, HR need to send mail and
seminars conducted in effective aspect. In the mails, decisions need to be made to convey
effective message easily (Sandilos, Goble and Pianta, 2018). Therefore, objectives and
goals can be achieve at workplace. On the other hand, seminars also assists to convey
through strategy and plan that assists to enhance growth of the business.
4.3 Different time management strategies
In this context, following are certain effective strategies implemented at workplace that
assists to meet with management of time to accomplish the objectives and goals:
 Setting priorities: In this aspect, Marriott need to determines priorities on the tasks that
assists to meet with goals and objectives in systematic way. In this aspect, important
activities should be completed on time (Albion, Tondeur and Peeraer, 2015). This is
because, setting of the priorities assists to create difference between urgent work.
Therefore, objectives and goals will be accomplish in systematic aspect.
 Delegation: Delegation of the task will be develops for first priority. In this aspect, the
chosen organisation has responsibilities to identify skills and knowledge that are required
at workplace (Healy, Block and Kelly, 2016). In order to promote the functions and
operations, task need to be done in better manner. As results, it assists to accomplish
tasks in a given period.

 Pre-planning: It means determines things that are required to done in advance. With the
help of assumptions, planning should be done in creative aspect. Therefore, it is helpful
to accomplish goals and objectives in systematic aspect (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and
Turunen, 2016). It is the best way through promotion will be made through complete the
task.
 Floating task: In respect to keep proper records and maintain books of accounts, tasks
will be float in the business. Therefore, effective results will be done for accomplishment
of objectives and goals in systematic way. Therefore, time will be manage as per the
activities and accomplishment of the goals in systematic way (Shuler and Keller-Dupree,
2015). It is the best way to assign duty and responsibilities as per the business
requirement.
CONCLUSION
From the report personal and professional development it is concluded that organisation
have to focus on the employees over all development. As in the Marriott it is describe that the
various issues have been arise in front of the management. It is important to mange the self
learning of the employee. As the organisation is responsible to conduct the training whenever the
employee require. Because it will help to boost the organisation productivity if the proper
training will be conducted. It is important for the organisation to develop the plan according to
the feedback. As result these will help to adopt the adopt with the different planing strategies
which will balance the work life.
