Similarly, professional development is defined aslearning which helps in maintaining or earning professional credentials like attendingconferences, informal learning, formal coursework. Both are important for human beings to workin organisation for achievement of goals and objectives in an effective and efficient manner.These developments are updated on regular basis so that they can easily face competition andwork accordingly. These can be improved with help of training and development. The report isbased on National Trust which was developed in 1895. This take care of various natural beautyin terms of coastline, beaches, nature reserves, pubs, mills and others. It is the largest artcollection which is open for everyone and provide visitors with unforgettable experiences. Thisreport covers understanding of self-managed learning which helps in enhancing lifelongdevelopment along with taking of responsibility for own personal and professional development.It also highlights about implementation and continually review of own personal and professionaldevelopment plan and demonstrating acquired interpersonal and transferable skills. This helps them for identification of strategy, resources, tools and others thatare needed for self-learning process. Learning From OthersThere are various methods where employees of National Trust can learn from otherswhich are described below:Use of Bulletin Boards- It is defined as display board that shows visual learning onparticular subject. It assists in making notes for day to day activities, defining goal and so on(Dixon and et. al., 2014). The manager of National Trust makes notes on daily basis for guidingtheir subordinates for performing work. They also encourage workers for making notes aboutnew things which they have learned for self-development. The main advantage is that it aidsrespective organisation for informing staffs about activities rather than individually. Similarly,disadvantage is that it is not possible for organisation to explain each and every topic with helpof bulletin board. Social Network- Individuals can gain knowledge through social network such as twitter,Facebook, blogs for personality development. The respective organisation has to use suchlearning for boosting confidence of staff and employees. The advantage is saving of time andmoney for providing online training and development. Similarly, disadvantage can be poorconnectivity of network while providing online training to staff.After analysing various methods, it has been concluded that respective organisation usessocial network for learning purpose which is the easiest and simple way for learning new things.This helps in increasing knowledge and skills of working force.
