INTRODUCTION
Personality development and employability refers to improvement in individual ability
and helps in succeed in life and career options increased in order to gain the skills and
knowledge (Ciesielkiewicz, 2019). It covers up all development in traits and characteristics that
helps in development of employees. In this report the job graduate level is financial manager or
CFO which is responsible for giving the financial guidance and support to clients. It is being
discussed about the main responsibilities and specifications with the help of self assessment tools
and reflection on this education journey. Apart from that knowledge, skills and support that need
to perform the following job position is being discuss.
MAIN BODY
Responsibilities and person specifications of job role and discussing self assessment tools
Financial manager is also known as CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and senior executive
that is responsible for managing the financial actions of company. It has duty that include the
managing the cash flow and plan the financial activities of company and also analyse the
financial strength and weaknesses and take corrective actions. To reach at this level it is
necessary to have some skills and responsibilities that required to perform and fulfil them
effectively. I learned some skills and qualities that helps in performing this Job role and achieve
this in order to get the best results. Some responsibilities that CFO acquired and are as follows-
It is part of executive management team, it used to interact with all department in order to
coordinate the activities with both senior and junior in company. So, during my education
journey I learned that to communicate with other employees of company is important and
maintaining the good relationship with every is essential.
Finance manager provides the leadership, direction to all the finance and accounting team
in order to tell them about the task that need to perform (de Schepper, Sotiriadou and
Hill, 2020). It used to guide the employees and lead them on the project. I learned the
leadership qualities and which I found really helpful in my career and will be very useful
in my future growth.
Finance manager helps in managing the financial forecasting and budgets and overseeing
the preparation of reports to facilitates in making right decision. It comes with great
responsibility and take major and necessary action that require in organisation. I learned

about different budgets and oversee financial reporting and it gives me an idea about how
things goes in the company. But I am not able to execute this responsibility effectively
and lacking behind this to make the financial reports.
Taking long-term advise to business and financial planning to enhance the future
opportunities and growth for organisation and building strong base for future uncertainty.
It helps me in developing the quality of taking effective decision and improve capability
to face the different situation (Gerryts and Maree, 2019). As, I did not able to perform
this responsibilities and face certain issues and problems regarding this education
journey.
It undertakes to review the formal finance report in HR and IT related procedure and
carrying out the all functions and activities according finance. It gives me knowledge
about how finance is related to other department and experience of different department .
It establish and develop relations with senior management and external partners and
stakeholders to tell them about the company financial position and maintaining the
effective formal relationship. It gives me an idea about the importance of stakeholders
and external partners for organisation to fulfil the requirement of company.
Person specifications refers to attributes that need in employee to perform that task effectively. It
is related to job description but with more specific manner. This include qualification, skills,
experience and knowledge which required to accomplish job duties. Some employees are using
person specifications to build their strong competencies. In the CFO there are roles and
responsibilities that needed to have in job role are as follows-
The traits and job requirement needed is to engage in finance committee and board of
director to discuss the financial planning for company. This duty and job description in
CFO is very important and maintaining the form portfolio. To fulfil this the skills and
quality that require in this job role cannot perform by me and I has to develop this skills
to perform the task.
The main duties of CFO is to undertake the risk management duties and plan it in order to
achieve the objectives and goal of organisation (Kaushal and SVNIT, 2020). It has some
important sources that require in this to evaluate the risk factors and other consequences.
It is important to fulfil the effectiveness of organisation performance and I has to develop
this skill to accomplish this task.
