PIH is a private, nonprofit, secular, Boston based
healthcare organization.
Founded in 1987 by Thomas J. White, Paul Farmer,
Todd McCormack, Ophelia Dahl and Jim Yong Kim
Operate in Boston, Haiti, Peru, Rwanda, Mexico,
Russia, Lesotho, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Liberia
The mission is to provide modern medical healthcare
to those who need it and offer hope to those in
despair
Projects include
a. Building hospitals
b. Train medical staff
c. Remove barriers to good health
d. Providing health services to local areas
