INTRODUCTION
Professional identity is a formative concept with the help of which individual can
effectively able to increase the skills and competencies relating to a job. This helps a person to
increase their effectiveness in a workplace and gain more advancement opportunities (Barley and
Kunda, 2016). Present report has conducted on Hilton Hotel which provides the services in
hospitality industry. Company formed in the year 1919 and offer their services worldwide. In this
report format of discussions has been made on different types of elements in context with
professionals along with professional identity. Along with this benefits of professional
development in context with stakeholders are also covered in this report. In this project job
interview has been conducted as to identify strength and weaknesses in well effective way.

This present report is based on Hilton Hotel and Resort which is flagship brand in the
world. Conrad Hilton was the founder of this property and a hotel chain was introduce in 1919.
This hotel was dealing in travel and tourism industries. The marketing management of this sector
has majorly focused on business and leisure travellers with varied expansion in convention
sectors, near airport, popular vacation destination across the globe.
Key benefits for stakeholders:
Stakeholder can be internal and external personnel in any organisation, company or
hospitality industries. The main aim of hospitality industries is to have effective customer
relationship with the service they are offering to their consumers. The ongoing process is another
terminology of continuous professional development which directly relates to the overall
improvement of an employee in the company. In context with Hilton Hotel, the prime concern
for the management is to motivate and satisfy employee, provide quality service to their
consumer and attract potential customer's. In reference, with stakeholder interest, the committee
members, should provide some share from the sale profit which has been generated. This will
result, in investing more share and the outcome show positively impact on labour turnover rate

responsibilities. The Hilton Hotels and Resort, have focused on both business and leisure
travellers in various preferred locations. In reference, to the professional skills on the job
specification of Customer Service Executive, a manager have to adapt the skills like decision-
making, distribution of authority and power when working in a team, creating positive
environment, motivating employee, fluent flow of communication result in increase in loyalty
from consumer and employee towards a particular hotel in hospitality industry. The direct and
indirect feedbacks from existing customer will help the manager for improving the quality of
service in a hotel. In regards with today's work culture of any industries, company or firm, the
main aim is to satisfy the customer, retain the quality employee and successful growth of the
hotel in the industries and capture wider market. The key skills, on which manager has to give
emphasises are mentioned below:
Positive Behaviour: The positive nature of a manager is very important, in having two way
communication, as it will give chance to both employee and employer to keep their view points,
share knowledge and respect each other, as well removing conflicts between staff members the

hotel management. In regards with Hilton Hotel and Resorts, the Customer Service Executive
have to take calm and compose approach, towards handling the customer, very politely and
respectful manner as to attain their loyalty towards the brand, attract potential buyers and also
provide some freedom within the work culture in reference with the satisfaction level of
employee's.
Technical Skills: This skill allow manager, to use variety of tools for managing customer
relationship and train the employee in any hotel industry to attain the set objective of hotel. In
context with Hilton Hotel and Resort, the Customer Service Executive should have knowledge of
adaptation of new technology for instance the hotel can adapt biometric system for guest in
regards with their check-in and check-out in the hotel.

After determining the job profile customer executive for business within the Hilton Hotel,
there is need large range of skills, abilities and competencies. At that time, I got selected and I
was able to know that I am capable for this service within this company so that I can easily play
the role of customer's executives with the help of this I can also observed my weakness so that
which are needed to improves in an effective manner. In regards with this, I have concluded that
each and every people within the organisation have several kind of skills and eligibility for work
so that employer's of this company can really expect from employee's in order to take effective
decision in regards with Hilton Hotel. At last by proper conclusion I can easily say that I have
different type of skills by which I can help to people in the post of customer executive in the
Hilton Hotel. This concept will help me a lot and I will able to make effective decision and
strategies in order to generate proper skills and communication between the employee's so that
they can use them at the right time to achieved goals effectively.
Apart from this, in the present world, there is tough competition between the firms so that
I am looking forward to my job profile that is customer's executives so that I can easily
understand the company's vision and mission in a p[roper way. As well as I would like to fill this
opportunity within the Hilton hotel so that they can get good applicant. For the present scenario,
I have used my own skills and knowledge in order to analyse myself in front of the manager for
the designation of customer executive within the Hilton Hotel, assessment of skills are given

Cognitive approach: This is the psychological approach which refers to the several kind
of mental activities such as thinking, learning, remembering, language as well as problem
solving approach (Grubenman and Meckel, 2017). This approach plays very important role in
order to learn behaviour within the organisation and maintain the process of developing good
ideas, values and thoughts in the people minds. In reference to the Hilton Hotel they are adopting
this approach in order to know their consumer's perception towards the travel and tourism
industry. With the help of this an organisation is able make their effective strategies as per their
consumer's needs. Employee's of this organisation have good working efficiency and skills by
which they can influence other in a effective way. It help firm's to achieve their targeted goals

Behaviourist approach: This is the another one which mainly consists the large number
of ideas and thoughts in the employee's minds so that they can perform easily within the
organisation. In reference to the Hilton Hotel, it has been analysed that they are using this

hotel it is advisable for the company to ask questions in the interview that will help in analysing
the skills, abilities and knowledge of employees. There aer different stages that are present in
interview process of customer service manager. The Hilton Hotel has advertised job description
that will help people to know about the details of job role that will help in selecting the best
candidate who will have all capabilities to work in the organisation. In reference to the human
resource management, if I got selected by the Hilton Hotel then it will include conduction of
effective interview including technical round, personal round and and aptitude round. The
process of interview has different stages in Hilton Hotel and it starts from the preparation of job
description and finishes by selecting suitable candidate for post of customer service for Hilton
Hotel. If I am selected as the customer service manager in Hilton Hotel then I will be having an
ample number of opportunities that will help in carrying out the decisions and opeations in an
effective manner. I should posses many skills for effectively operating the functions and
attracting a lot of customers to take service of Hilton Hotel. If I passed on with the evaluation
process than I have to face next round which will be technical round and here questions being
asked might be difficult and tricky. As I am weak in this aspect so it might be possible that this
put negative impact related to insights about me by the interviewer. Also, there is possibility that
I directly get selected by passing next round by effectively influencing HR manager of Hilton
Hotel on the basis of my two years past experiences. Moreover, before coming for interview, I
analysed various aspects like information about company, job profile, roles and responsibility

P7 Review key strengths and weaknesses of an applied interview process
Strength of interview process- The interview round is very productive, as it enhance to build
the positive energy and motivate me in facing the interviewer. In context with Hilton Hotel and
Resort, when I went for giving interview for the post of Customer Service Executive the
environment was very helpful, the interrogator questioned me about my professional experience
and patiently listening to my answers. The strength I found while giving interviewee was my
confidence level was very high. Some my skills was matching with their job profile like my
strong communication power, having knowledge of quality service could maintain cordial
relation with staff of hotel
Weakness of interview process- When facing an interview, the weakness I realised in myself
was when the examiner was cross questioning me I sometimes lacked confidence. In reference
with Hilton Hotel and Resort, the appraiser was not satisfied with my technical skills as was not
aware about updated technology which this hotel was using as I haven't thoroughly read about
profile description about this hotel service. This weakness lead me in depression as I was very
much frustrated about not getting selected for this job profile.
CONCLUSION
As per the above mentioned report it has been concluded that, professional development
effectively helps individual to increase their skills, knowledge and capabilities in order to gain
more developmental opportunities. Professional development helps an individual to improve
their level of performance along with productivity and efficiency. This report covers different
types of learning theories with the help of which organisations can able to provide formative
development and training sessions to their employees. This will help company to retain they
work force for long term and increase overall efficiency of company in well effective way.
