INTRODUCTION
Project management refers to a process of managing the project in order to attain the
prescribed objectives. In this context, many strategies are applied and diversified methods are
used in order to complete the project successfully. This report deals with the project developed in
QAHE for refurbishing the classrooms (Abyad, 2018). Furthermore, this project will involve a
discussion of the work breakdown structure with the analysis of the risk factors involve in the
project. Also, this report will define the risk register and the methodologies used for managing
the project. The project focuses on the idea development of the QAHE for evaluating the need
for the re-improvement in the classrooms and labs.
MAIN BODY
Project Initiation Document
The project initiation document defines the factors and elements related to the project
work. Also, it includes the elements and the proper documentation required to successfully carry
out the project. The project must be completed after the analysis of the timescale and the budget.
The elements in the project initiation document involve smart objectives, resources requirement,
approaches of the research and so on. All these were included in the document with the proper
evaluation which will guide the researcher for the project procedure (Auth, JokischPavel and
Dürk, 2019). This document defines the path in which the research is going to carry out with the
involvement and proper utilisation of the budget described.
Objectives:
To discuss the concept of the refurbished classes and labs.
To analyse the activities of the education system to enhance the efficiency of the learner.
To introduce the new innovative ways of learning for the students.
To transform the learning system of the university more competitive and feasible.
Budgetary Information:
Budget can be defined as the base for the project on the basis of which it has to be completed.
The budget defines the allocation the funds in various elements of the workings and tasks
involved in the project. The research involves numerous activities and challenges which are

performed with the help of funds which are effectively allocated with the help of the budget. In
relation with the current project, the budget is explained below:
Venue - £15000
Catering and refreshments - £5000
Decoration & lighting - £5000
T-shirt, signals, Promotional cards: £4000
Entertainment - £5000
Insurance and security: £3000
Equipment purchase and repair & maintenance - £6000
Unexpected expenses: £3000
Digital and social media promotion: £4000
Timescale:
Time scale comprises of the amount of time required to successfully complete the project.
In this time frame, the researcher must attain the objectives of the project properly in order to
avoid mistakes in the project. For the initiation and completion of the project, the roles and
responsibilities of the team members must be defined effectively. In relation with this project,
earlier there were less space for the students and that is why the university have decided that
there is requirement for the refurbished classes and labs in order to avoid hassle during the
session (Bastarrica, Marín and Rioseco, 2017). The project will be completed in the duration
starting from 10 August to 28th August. This time period is important to be utilised as the
students will take admissions which will enhance the opportunities for the university.
Approaches:
A project approach defines the way in which the project tasks will be initiated and then
completed thereof. For this project, there is requirement of high investments for the
improvements in the academic classrooms and labs. Also, the university must focus on adopting
innovative designs and the current trends, designs of the classrooms and labs.
Key Staff:
The staff members play a crucial role in completion of the project successfully. The roles
and responsibilities of the team members must be defined clearly in order to avoid confusions
and maintain efficiency in the working procedure of the project. The activities of the project are
being carried out by the team members after the proper analysis of the working environment.
