The research has been based on investigating the impact of positive

operations. These factors mainly affect a hospitality business which is
operating businesses on overseas. In the present research there have
been identification of various issues and benefits of such factors on the
industrial development and increment of the facts.
Aim:
To investigate the positive economic, cultural and ethical impact of
globalisation on operations in Pizza Express plc.

Section Two: Reasons for choosing this research project
Rationale
The reason for choosing this research topic on which it has been
analysed that in hospitality sector there have been various impacts of
cultural, economic as well as ethical changes which causes negative or
positive impact on operational growth. The diversity in such factors as
per extending the business on global level might affect business
operations. Changes in language, culture, ethical norms, laws,
regulations as well as economy of the location will have negative
impacts on business growth as it takes time for citizens to adopt the new
business and same as with business to adopt the new environment for
operations.
Section Three: Literature sources searched
Theme 1: Determining the impact of globalisation on food retail
Singh and Negi, (2018) introduced that, Expanding the business
from one location to another location have various challenges and
barriers which were to be considered by business professionals.
Expansion may define growth or succession of a firm also, it expects the
business to be dynamic. Operating practices in new location will require
operational stability and governance of the performance. Sinclair and
Carr, (2018) determined that, there have been various impacts of
changes on the operational growth of firm. There have been challenges
such as changing governmental policies, consumer preferences,

language and cultural variations as well as economy of that nation. It
affects the revenue generation as well as profitability of firm in
respective year (Globalization of food systems in developing countries,
2017). The quality of product and services offered by a food retail
business have obstacles due to availability of resources, ingredient and
employees from such locations.
Theme 2: Benefits of globalisation on Pizza Express
Borawski and et.al., (2018) sought to analyse that, globalisation is
profitable and beneficiary process of the business with respect to
generate higher profitability and revenue to have the adequate
expansion and business motives. A food retail sector will have growth
and popularity at the new location which will be adequate in creating a
better image in such location. Asomah and Cheng, (2018) stated that,
changes in business operations would have impacts on its revenue
generation. Time utilised by firm in developing its image, identity and
market will be more which in turn affects them to have higher expenses
on setting up the business on the large segmentation. Therefore, in this
aspect there will be requirement of creating the effective marketing
campaign which would help industry in creating the image and identity
among the society.
