INTRODUCTIONIn the recent trend, for effectively select and choose best candidates in company atparticular job profile so employment can use recruitment and selection process. It includesvarious stages so employers can systemically judge and identify actual and reliable workingcapabilities and skills. This assignment will be discussing about various sources of recruitmentand selection of candidates as well as major factors which can be impacting on business firm andtheir production level as well (Van den Brink, 2010). Sainsbury is a supermarket in UK, which isdealing with all kind of home products and goods for customers so they can effectively full filltheir basic needs and wants.TASK 1P1 Identify how two organisations plan recruitment using internal and external sourcesEmployees can be recruiting in two different ways Internal recruitment and Externalrecruitment. Internal recruitment is when the business looks for candidates that are alreadyworking the in company/organisation. For example sales assistant promoting to floormanagement. External recruitment is when the business looks for any best qualified and suitablecandidate from outside the business (Brewster and Hegewisch, 2017). It's cheaper and quicker to recruit so it saves a lot of timeIn most cases training not needed as the candidates are already familiar with the businessand how it worksIt provides opportunities or promotion within the business which can motivate the staff.Business already knows the strengths and the weaknesses of the employees however as well as advantages there's also some disadvantages of internal recruitment whichincludesNo new ideas and skills will be introduced to the companyLess staff to run the businessMight create competition and jealousy between staff The advantages of external recruitment includes: People from outside will bring new skills and ideas to the businessMore staff which can lead a business to be successfulPeople will have wider range of experience and knowledge in similar business As well as advantages there's also some disadvantages of external recruitment whichincludes:Longer process so it will be time consumingMore money will go out from the business because of advertising and interviewsSelection process may not be able to and out the best candidateBusiness may have to provide training (Siavelis, 2012).P2 Explain the impact of the legal and regulatory framework on recruitment Legal Issues: There will be explained some major legal issues which can be impactingon business recruitment and selection process of business. Sex Discrimination Act 1975 – This specific act makes it illegal to judge someone’spotential based on their gender (Holm, 2012). This impacts recruitment because it means thatcompanies are now obliged to treat both men/women equally, and give them the sameopportunities. This act also forces companies to pay the employees equally (depending on the jobrank) regardless of gender, which is also involved in the Equal Pay Act 1970.2
