INTRODUCTION
Selection and recruitment means to select candidate for the specified post. There is
requirement of varieties of personnel for specific position. As per change in designation, there is
requirement of some changes in skills and qualification. Selection is requirements performed by
HRM manager. There is requirement of proper analysis which helps to perform business
operations in effective and efficient manner (Abraham and et. al., 2015). There are various ways
through which association can select candidates in effective way. It is essential to select
approach which is effective and efficient for filling vacant position. This report is based on
Bailey Bus & Coach Company which is large family owned business organisation. In this report
there is discussion about internal and external sources of recruitment, legal frameworks of
recruitment and selection, documents required for selecting candidate, interview process, etc.

P1 Identify how two organisations plan recruitment using internal and external sources
For selection and recruitment, there is use of various methods which are effective and
signifiant for market growth. Internal and external are two methods which is effective for
selecting best candidate out of crowd.
Internal source- This is the method which is used by Hotel Hilton to select best
candidate at designation. In internal method, promotion, demotion, transfers, retired employees,
etc. are involved. These are some reliable methods so workers have knowledge about culture,
trends followed by association. Selection through internal sources is economical and time
effective (Chanda, Bansal and Chanda, 2010).

External sources- This is the method in which candidates are selected from external
market. Selection through external source is costlty and time consuming. In external sources
advertisement, campus recruitment, placement agencies, etc. are included. Marriott hotel select
candidates from external sources (Chrobot-Mason, Ruderman and Nishii, 2013). In this source
managers of Marriott hotel has to pay some commission to external parties which help to
perform business operations in effective and efficient manner.
Bailey Bus & Coach Company select external sources for their new office managers.
Through external source best candidate can be selected. For manager it is essential to make
changes in working style, so Bailey Bus & Coach Company has to focus on person who is

There are many reasons for which company may need to fill vacant positions. As in
business, there are many reasons due to which vacancy happen. Some of them are as under-
