In the report, Hilton Hotel is opening its newbranch in Stratford city which is focused on catering business and leisure travellers by offeringthem an array of services to gain maximum comfort during their stay. It is necessary that thecited hotel and their management team should implement efforts on the HRM activities andprocesses. TASK 11.1 Analysing the role and purpose of HRM with reference to Hilton Hotel StratfordIt is ascertained that an organisation engaged in service industries is extremely focusedon improving their HR effectiveness and their overall abilities of completing the entire set ofcompleting the assigned task. Similar to this, Hilton Hotel should also aim their attention andefforts on determining the types of activities, processes and functions required from thepersonnels of their team in order to attain the proposed forms objectives. In that context, it isvital that they should design a plan to execute each and every procedures described under theHRM and its related aspects (Rodwell and Teo, 2008). The HRM of an organisation is aimed tocovers the following set of processes and activities that are:Recruitment management. Planning and forecasting.Managing and monitoring employees.Training and developing staff.

Moreover, the following are roles and purposes of HRM which needed to be properlyaddressed by the HR team of Hilton Hotel in order to establish better market in the Stratford andassess good results:Planning and organising – The process of defining a plan and working as per thespecified structure helps the firm and their elements to gain more benefits and overallachievements. For this, the organisation needs to analyse the business and their marketsituation in order to identify the type of requirements needed by their targeted customersand accordingly structure the plan (Schwabenland and Tomlinson, 2008). Moreover, theactivity of organising the HR functions as per the plan is advantageous for the firm. As itassist them in stating a particular direction in which they need to work and ascertain thevalues desired by the organisation. Similar to this, Hilton Hotel would also define theareas which are to be properly assessed and analysed in order to determine the plan whichwould evaluate the functions that are need to be addressed and executed by theirworkforces (Collings and Mellahi, 2009).Recruitment and selection – By this process, the HR team generally addresses the bestkind of talented, innovative and skilled individuals which are mainly required in theworkforce team so that the business operations can be effectively and systematicallyprocessed. This procedure includes the set of activities which are mostly used to examinethe applicant on the basis of their knowledge, efficiency and abilities.
