INTRODUCTION
Managing activities to achieve results is a part of planning to have management of
successful working activities. This includes the training of the employees to impart them
knowledge and brush up skills so as to work efficiently and effectively in the organization to
achieve the targets. To attain the desired results, employees need to understand the relationship
between business process and the implementation of the operational plan (Ajmal, Helo and
Kekäle, 2010). ABC Company is a recruitment organization providing jobs and services to
candidates in any sector. The company is facing the problem of poor management, which
inculcates leadership problem and also inefficient working of the management. This report
mentions the importance of the business processes for delivering the outcomes, which are based
on the goals and objectives of the company. Further, the development plan of each area for
implementing the operational plan is also described here considering the different systems,
which are used to improve the performance of the organization. Lastly, it also mentions the
management of health and safety factors in the working place.
TASK 1
1.1 Evaluating the interrelationship between the processes and the functions of the organization
In ABC Company, the business processes are related to the functions of the organization.
Every function is a part of one or the other processes in the company. Management process: It includes the making of plans for setting goals, controlling the
organization activities and the execution of the ABC Company. The different functions
that are inter-related include the human resources, accounts & finance and the marketing
functions need the management process to develop a plan for each of them (Teece, 2010).
For selecting and recruiting the employees a proper plan is required as to where and how
many people are required in the ABC Company. To raise the funds from different
organization, the company needs proper planning to manage the funds in an efficient
manner. The marketing function which is related to the selling of services of in the
market. The employees have to market a wide range of people to make them avail the

services provided by the ABC Company. This require proper management process in the
company so as to know which sector of people are to be targeted.
 Operational process: It forms the core part of the organization. It spots out the
functioning of the employees to achieve set targets of the company. In this, human
resource is the most important part of ABC Company. After getting the funds it is
required to manage them in an efficient way, this include the manager who will maintain
proper records of the funds (Trevino and Nelson, 2010). The marketing is required as to
make people know about the services which are sold by the ABC Company. This include
the people who are good in communication are interacting with people to render
maximum services to them.
1.2 Justifying the methodology by using map process to ABC Company
The process which helps the ABC Company to achieve the goals and objectives is as
follows-

The above diagram shows the process which the ABC company should follow for
recruiting the employees. If this is implemented properly the company enjoys increase in the
sales. The employees should find the vacancies in every sector the requirements for the post.
After getting the idea about the job description it should be uploaded on the portal of the
company with all the credentials for the job vacancy (Sadikoglu and Zehir, 2010). The vacancies
should be advertised by giving it in newspaper or by direct calling to the people registered with
the company. The required person will apply to that job, so the company is required to short list
the resume which is fulfilling the requirements of the job description. After shortlisting the
resume, the concerned people should be examined by preparing a test series for them. If the
person clears the test, the company should manage their interview with the respective company.
The later process is followed by the respective companies. Thus this process will help the
company to increase their sales and also the operations.
1.3 Evaluating the process and elements to build a quality gateway
The process and the elements required to adopt several changes to build a quality
gateway. It include the various ways-
 For advertising the practices of the business, the ABC Company has to know about the
relevant and accurate jobs and it has to be promoted in an efficient manner. The jobs
should be advertised only when there is a vacancy in the company.
 To enhance with the sales of the ABC Company, they should focus on the quality
gateways. They should also maintain the relationships with the other companies so that
they can appoint employees for their company for longer period (Wheelen and Hunger,
2011).
 The ABC Company should maintain a proper database to know the information about
every candidate which is registered with the company. They should be provided with the
updates related the jobs they are searching for them. This will help the company to rise in
the market.

2.1 Designing a plan to promote the goals and objectives for own
As an operational manager, I need to make a plan which help to promote the goals and
responsibility for the ABC Company.
Objectives
The main objective of making the plan is to maximize the profit of the organization by
satisfying the clients, employees etc. This also include to develop an efficient management
which adequate leadership style.
Strategies
Efficient use of resources
I should make sure the efficient use of the resources in the organization. It includes the
human resources, financial resources etc. Human resources should be properly trained so that
they can work efficiently (Zairi, 2012). Financial resources which include the funds of ABC
company, they should be used at right place with the sufficient amount.
Client Satisfaction
The motive of the ABC company is to render services to the people and satisfy the clients
to the maximum (Zellner, 2011). Client satisfaction is the primary goal of the company. I should
provide the clients with several options so that they can choose which is benefiting them the
most. I should ask for the feedback and the problems which they are having while
communicating with the organization.
Leadership styles
I should adopt several leadership styles which enables company to have an adequate
management. The employees should be managed in such a way that the maximum can be get out
of them. The efficient work of the employees is the result of good leadership skills of the
manager.
2.2 Using SMART objectives, recommending the relation of human resources with other
resources in the ABC Company
Smart objectives refers to the setting of an efficient objectives which include defining the
specific goals and make it clear to the employees, and to measure the goals as to how and in what

time the it is achieved. It also takes into consideration the realistic resources and also focus on
time management. Several SMART objectives in ABC Company are-
 To overcome the problems of leadership styles in three months.
 To increase the sales by 10% in 2017.
 To reduce the employee turnover by 5 % in 1 year.
The recommendations to the above objectives to align the human resources with other
resources.
The SMART objectives can be achieved by using the human resource, technology,
financial resources etc (Zairi, M., 2012). The objective to overcome the problems of leadership
styles, the company should ask the employees about their views and suggestions regarding the
leadership styles which they may prefer, this make them feel motivated in the organization. The
ABC Company should adopt the style in which all the employees are comfortable.
To increase the sales, the company should start their operations by targeting the
customers to whom the services are to be rendered. The use of human resources and also the
financial resources are required to increase the sales (Prajogo and et.al., 2012). The employees
should also be trained with the skills and knowledge which help them to perform the tasks
efficiently.
To reduce the employment turnover, the ABC Company should make human resources
satisfied by giving them incentives and also make them work in new technologies. This will help
the company to reduce the employment turnover which will help them to rise in their operations.
Both financial as well as technological resources are required to make the human resources
consistent in the company.
2.3 Implementing the systems to achieve the objectives of ABC Company
As to achieve the targets defined in smart objectives ABC Company should come up with
different systems and techniques which include advertisement about the company's services
through various means like giving ads in newspaper, distributing templates etc. By this the
company can attract wide range of customers. This will help the company to increase their sales
and profits.

To reduce the employee turnover ratio, management should provide incentives to the
employees for their good performance on regular intervals (Rosemann and vom Brocke, 2015).
Deserving salary increments on constant levels will make them feel motivated towards the
company. The company should check the health and safety measures of the employees. It
includes proper working place, clean water supply etc.
Employees in the organization works efficiently only when they are supervised in an
effective manner. Leadership style should be developed after a regular interval periods so that if
the recent leadership style is not working efficiently we can modify or change it while doing
several trial and errors. The employees should also ask about their active participation in this
process. This will help the management to overcome the problem faced due to leadership style.
2.4 Carrying the activities to meet the operational plan
Staffing
Staffing refers to the hiring, positioning and to overseeing the employees in the
organization. Hiring the right person at the time of recruitment is the best way to reduce the
employee turnover. It also includes that the person should not only judged on the skills but also
that they are able to fit in the culture of the company and able to coordinate with the managers
and co-workers (Prajogo and et.al, 2012). They must make clear about the compensation and
other benefits given by the company so that it do not create a problem in the long run. This will
help the ABC Company to reduce the employee turnover ratio.
Proper Planning
Planning is a process of analyzing and making plans to achieve the goals. To overcome
the problem of leadership styles, the ABC Company should plan the activities which can prove
good to the organization as well as to the employees. Firstly, leadership standards should be
established. It means to identify the areas where the company is facing the problem between the
employees and the manager regarding the leadership (Doz and Kosonen, 2010). After defining
the areas of problem, different plans should be made to overcome the problem. It will require
various trial and errors to reach the best leadership style. The employees should also asked about
their views that which leadership style they are comfortable with, its advantages etc. This makes
the management efficient in their styles of leadership.

Sales and marketing strategies
To increase with the sales of the ABC Company, several sales and marketing strategies
should be adopted. Several means which include the advertisements of the services which the
company provides, distributing the pamphlets to people so that they can be aware about the
company should be used to increase the level of sales of the company (Mohammad and et.al.,
2011). People should assigned for marketing the services which include telling the people about
the advantage of their services over others etc. The strategies are to be innovative so that
customers can feel attracted and influenced.

3.1 Manage and monitor the quality standard
Quality Management System is help in design the company process and its key
objectives. Some points describe how to manage quality standard
 ISO 9000 2015: The ISO provide the guidelines and techniques for the ABC Company.
It is helps in analyzing the activities or policies which are beneficial for employees. This
standard is based on the principles of quality management. It is important to motivate the
employees and improve the recruitment approach of the firm (López-Nicolás and
Meroño-Cerdán, 2011). It further, helps in delivering good quality services which in turn
brings many benefits for the business. Moreover, it also explains the key concepts and
principles which are universally applicable. This standard concentrate on success through
execution of a quality management system. As per the scenario it can help in improving
the communication between the employees and management. Quality management
provide the training, assessment or guidance. Thus, it is essential for the ABC Company
to manage the efficiency and effectiveness of employees by implementing ISO
9000:2015.
 Benchmarking: Benchmark is the process of measuring the performance, quality, time
and cost for ABC Company. Now recently, it gives attention on health care system. As
operational management of cited company, need to understand the concept of health care
sector for achieving goal. Moreover, this is necessary for identifying the peer

performance and standard of metrics. Also, it analyses the problems of strategic data for
ABC Company. With the help of this, managers can learn about the accounting practices.
 Business Process Re-engineering: The business process re-engineering is also named as
business process redesign and business transformation. It requires to manage the strategy
which is followed by the ABC Company. The business process re-engineering focus on
analyzing and designing the workflow of the company (Kirchmer, 2012). Its main
objective is to improve work design and employees services. Further, it helps in
restructuring the tasks and ground up work. As an operational manager of cited company,
it is necessary to focus on the cycle of business process re-engineering. The main
components are as follows-
 First process of the BPR is to define work flow of the company. It helps in analyzing the
initial performance of employees.
 Second one is to analyze the strategy and data which is of use for the business
 Third process is of BPR design framework which improves the operational cost of the
company.
 The last process is implementation test which focuses on improving overall performance
of the company.
3.2 Quality culture to ensure continuous monitoring
Quality management system is a process of developing quality in all processes and need
to maintain standard for ABC Company. According to the scenario, the company need to
understand vision, mission and values of employees. It helps in monitoring employee’s standard
and performance of individuals. Managers of cited company try to achieve service quality which
creates effective environment (Closs, Speier and Meacham, 2011). Further, it evaluates critical
factors such as financial performance, employee’s satisfaction and product quality. Establishing
quality culture helps in continuous monitoring and evaluation on all the aspects. According to the
given case, there is a need of skilled employees who can improve the performance of the ABC
Company. It helps in improving work environment, as they systematically measure the
performance of employees accordingly. Basically, the quality culture is about employee’s
workflow and develop their effort with help of directing them. Therefore, quality culture process

is to guide employees for better performance or sometimes provide training them (Jeston and
Nelis, 2014).
Apart from it, Benchmarking set the standards for company which is essential for
monitoring goals and targets. As well as, it will help in evaluating the past performance of the
mentioned company. It creates a spirit of competition and best practices which monitors the
employee’s performance. The basic principles of benchmarking which need to be followed by
ABC Company are identifying the employee’s perception and compare their performance
accordingly. Therefore, benchmarking process monitors the quality of employee’s performance
as well as improves the effectiveness and efficiency of the overall company standard.
3.3 Recommending improvements to achieve organization goals and objectives
In order to achieve the business goals and objectives, certain improvements are needed.
Cited company can align its goals and objectives by communicating with its employees. There is
a need to understand the basic knowledge of management. Further, it links with the recruitment
process, which provides them skilled employees so that they can achieve their HRM objectives
(Doz and Kosonen, 2010). ABC Company can implement the benchmarking process which helps
in maintaining the standard, competition and best practices of employees. As well as, they help
in identifying perception and policies followed by company. Moreover, the firm is required to be
aware about quality culture as it can help in analyzing the attitudes, values and activities of
individuals accordingly.
Also, they assess work flow quality and abilities of employees. Thus, clients attract
towards recruitment process which helps them in achieving goals and objectives. Further, it
necessary for directing the strategy which improve operational cost and principle of organization.
This means is that to create balances between goal and objectives which result in improvements.
3.4 Proposed Changes within ABC organizations
Quality management system is applying some tools or techniques for implementing
company strategy. ABC Company evaluate some changes:
 Perception towards continuous plan: Benchmarking techniques are very effective for
directing standard, cost and other activities of company. Further, it helps in measuring

past performance of the organization. Thus, it improves ongoing process within the
company.
 Organizing training and development: Training and development is very essential for
improving employees performance and with the help of that company can achieve goal
and objectives (Cho and et.al,, 2012). Quality culture evaluates the performance of
individual which helps in re-designing the training structure. It creates a systematic
process and develop individual work by providing them good working environment.
 Assessment of standard: It also make changes in their quality or service. Further, it
helps in redesigning in workflow which is profitable for company. Benchmarking
process is set standard to concentrate on success through execution of a quality
management system (Closs, Speier and Meacham, 2011). Thus, benchmarking measure
quality standard for company and use those strategy which is effective for cited
company.
 Identifies transformational process: ABC Company also helps in improving business
process re-engineer which evaluates company structure. . It identifying workflow
structure individual and implement some changes accordingly. They also gather data and
implement some test on company strategy.

Risk assessment means to know about the things which can harm the people, and taking
several measures and precautions for preventing them. It is an element of health and safety
management which defines the objectives and the measures to overcome it under the act of

4.2 Demonstrating the health and safety regulations and legislation
The ABC Company takes into several regulation and legislation to account the health and
safety measures for the employees. Some of them are-
Health and safety at work etc Act 1974: refers to an Act of parliament which is an
important health and safety legislation (Health and Safety Legislation, 2016). Every employer is
assigned with the duty to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work. It is about maintaining
the safe access in the organization. The adequate welfare provisions for staff at the work are also
included.
Management of health and safety at work regulations 1999: It includes the duty of the
employer to manage the risks which can be faced by their employees and other workers (Work
health and safety procedures, 2016). It includes all the arrangement for ensuring the health and

safety at the workplace like measures for emergencies, adequate information and training for
employees etc.
Workplace regulations 1992: It is related to the working environment. It includes the
maintenance of workplace, proper ventilation, lighting, cleanliness, drinking water, sanitary
convenience etc. It is the duty of employers to make sure that the workplace is safe and healthy
for the workers.
Reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences regulations1995: This
kind of regulation include the employers and other people in the company to report the work
related deaths, major injuries, diseases, etc. In this Act the emergency contact numbers are
defined for the people in the organization (Health and Safety Legislation, 2016).
4.3 Reviewing the health and safety policies and procedures of ABC Company
By reviewing the policies and procedures of ABC Company, it was realized that
company has followed all the above defined Acts by coordinating with the policies of them. It is
having several measures for the health and safety of the employees. The company has appointed
health and safety executive on the monthly basis who visits the organization and check all areas
and give the details of risky and unhealthy conditions (Becker, Kugeler and Rosemann, eds.,
2013). The person suggests the ways in which the ABC Company can improve the problems in
the company. The company also maintains the regular and proper documentation of every
employee's medical issues which clears the company to know about their diseases and the impact
which the company can face. The company also provides medical checkup for the employees to
update their health status. Efforts are made to maintain the healthy workplace for the people. The
person responsible for maintaining the first aid is properly trained to maintain the health and
safety measures. The company also provides medical checkup for the employees to update their

4.4 Planning the practical application of health and safety policies and procedures
For the practical application of all the policies and procedures related to health and
safety, ABC Company should provide healthy workplace to the employees. This includes the
working conditions of the company and physical amenities such as proper ventilation, efficient

lightning, cleanliness, clean drinking water etc. It is very important for the employees to remain
healthy always (Anderson and Anderson, 2010). Moreover, the company should appoint a
manager to keep a check on working condition of the company.
In addition to this, labor law also creates a major influence on business operations.
Hence, the HR manager of the company should be updated with the latest labor laws and other
policies regarding the employment so that it can be applied to the company. The manager should
also keep a proper documentation of all the health and safety policies and procedures and also to
communicate them properly to the employees. The policies are to be taught in effective manner
to the employees so that they can have a knowledge about the terms included in the health and
safety policies. Hence, the company should maintain the working environment by various means
and also it should be communicated to every employee.
CONCLUSION
From this report it can be concluded that there is a direct relationship between the
processes and the functions of the organization for an efficient working. Moreover, an efficient
process is required to increase the sale of the company. To promote the goals and objectives the
company has included various strategies to achieve them. In addition to it, Smart objectives are
used to overcome the problems of the company. To maintain the quality, several standards are
used to design the process within the business. At the end, to become an efficient company the
various risk assessment are defined and the policies related to the health and safety measures are
applied in the organization.
