This research project aims to identify the role of training and development in Cabin Crew department for domestic flights of British Airways. It critically analyzes the impact of training and development on cabin crew members as well as British Airways and suggests appropriate ways for providing effective training to Cabin Crew department for domestic flights of British Airways.

Introduction
 Training and Development (T&D) is one of the important function of human
resource department of an organization.
 organizations face problem regarding individual and organizational
performance due to the lack of skills and knowledge in cabin crew members
of BA for handling passengers of domestic flights.
 Current research project is based on role of training and development and its
impact on organizational performance development.

Aim and Objectives
 Aim:
 “To identify the role of training and development in Cabin Crew
department for domestic flights of British Airways”.
 Objectives:
 To understand the concepts of training and development.
 To identify the major training needs of cabin crew members of British
Airways for domestic flights.
 To critically analyze the impact of training and development on cabin
crew members as well as British Airways.
 To suggest appropriate ways for providing effective training to Cabin
Crew department for domestic flights of British Airways.

needs and requirements of cabin crew members.

 Hypothesis:
 Null hypothesis (H0) = Training and development program will not
help in improving individuals as well as organizational performance
of British airways.
 Alternative hypothesis (Ha) = Training and development program will
help in improving individuals as well as organizational performance
of British airways.

Conclusion and recommendations
 The current research project has concluded that T&D of BA
for cabin crew members is not appropriate.
 Lack of skills and knowledge, New and latest technologies,
Job dissatisfaction , Lack of productivity and Inappropriate
performance are major factors which increases training
needs of cabin crew members for domestic flights of BA.
 British Airways should use on job and off training methods
for providing training to cabin crew members of BA for its
domestic flights.
 IT will help in improving individual as well as organizational
performance as well.
