Abstract
Workspace discrimination has emerged as a big issue for all organisation that is hampering there
day to day business activities and are the main cause of conflicts and issues at workplace. Thus,
it become crucial and necessary for all organisation to make effective strategies to cope up and
mitigate this issues. Hence, current research is based on the topic study about the facts and
reasons that are creating and facilitating workplace discrimination along with strategies to
overcome it.

A) Introduction
A.1) Background of research
The biggest issues that is currently faced by all organisation due to globalisation and
enhanced integration is associated with workplace discrimination as a wide range of employees
who belongs to diversified culture and backgrounds are working together at one place (Gordon,
2018). Rolls Royce cars ltd is a multinational famous British automotive brand and car
manufactures which mainly deals in Luxury cars and headquartered at West Sussex, England,
and United Kingdom. Rolls Royce cars Ltd is also among these organisation that is facing this
issues of workplace discrimination that is mainly related with age discrimination and redundancy
selection (Age discrimination and redundancy selection: Rolls Royce v Unite, 2020). The
workplace discrimination has negative impact and hampers the performance and efficiency level
of employees and overall organisation thus, following research is conducted on various forms of
workplace discrimination so that better strategies could be made by organisation like Rolls
Royce cars ltd to cope up with and encounter negative implication of workplace discrimination.
A.2) Research aim and objectives
Aim of project
The aim of this research project is “To get a better understanding about the about the
reasons and causes of workplace discrimination and also includes a study over various strategies
and steps that can be adopted by an organisation to eliminate and reduce this discrimination”.
Research Objectives
The main objectives of this research project conducted on Rolls Royce Motor car are as
follows:
To study about the facts and reasons that are creating and facilitating workplace
discrimination.
To have a better understanding about the various forms and types of workplace
discrimination exists within the organisation like Rolls Royce (Derous and Decoster,
2017).

To evaluate and identify the various strategies and plans that can be made and implement
by an organisation to cope up with the issues and challenges of workplace discrimination
A.3) Rational for selection of research topic
The main justification for selection of current research topic based on workplace
discrimination is associated with the fact that organisation is facing this issue from a long time
that has badly affected there operation and performance. Thus, the selection of current research
topic is rational as lead to better examination of various forms of workplace discrimination so
that some effective strategies and policies could be adopted by an organisation to have better
performance. Workplace discrimination is the main factor that leads to higher number of
conflicts and chaos and carets tension among staff thus, it is necessary to resolve and overcome
the situation of workplace discrimination so that a better coordination and positive environment
can be created at workplace to ensure better success and timely achievement of targets. Hence,
the current research is vital and useful from perspective of an organisation and professional
background of researcher. Apart from this, it also met educational background of investigator
and ensures better managerial skills and knowledge for all other related scholars.
A.4) Research questions
The current research project is focused on evaluating following research questions:
What are the facts and reasons that are creating and facilitating workplace
discrimination?
What are the various forms and types of workplace discrimination exists within the
organisation like Rolls Royce?
What are the possible strategies and plans that can be made and implement by an
organisation to cope up with the issues and challenges of workplace discrimination?
B) Literature review
A literature review is detailed and comprehensive summary or brief description about thee
research topic, as it formulated through the scholarly articles, libraries book, online sites and
other relevant sources with associated with particular research(Marchiondo., Ran, and Cortina.,
2018). The literature review is made a structure to attaining the requirements and determining the
nature of current research topic. As for this research the literature review is conducted for the

concept on workplace discrimination in the context of Rolls Royce group company(Gordon.,
2018).
To study about the facts and reasons that influence to create and facilitating workplace dis-
crimination.
According to the Sherrie Scott, 2019. Discrimination in the workplace is refers about the
treating the workforce in the organisation premises or allocate the job as offer in terms of
demographic factor such as age, gender, religion or disability factor etc(Manuel and et. al.,
2017). It stats that discrimination with anyone in the organisation premises is only happen when
some one is creates the violation to protect the laws. As the general meaning of discrimination is
not to getting job offer by any company, loosing the opportunities at work, in fact it derives that
laws protect which are link with job work. The reasons which can influence to create and
facilitating workplace discrimination in organisation that it addresses the work environment
healthy safety where the employees can feel satisfy to work in the premises as well as it also
enhanced the laws and regulation in terms of employment laws related to workforce allowances
which protect all these rights and uses in time of violation if it creates the negative influence.
Some of the factor which comprises the workplace discrimination in terms of employees gender,
age , religion or any kind of disabilities by allocate them as per their potential work(Gabriel and
et. al., 2018).
For the women’s they are working in organisation as their safety the workplace
discrimination play major role when a women faced any kind of harassment ornegative abusive
behaviour with some one else and the particular organisation have taken any action through HR
department which provides the fair judgement it shows the workplace discrimination enables the
effective influence.
To have a better understanding about the various forms and types of workplace discrimination
presence in the organization like Rolls Royce company perspective.
According to the Kathy Harrington-Sullivan, 2019. As this discrimination in workplace
in the organisation to protecting the laws and regulation which creates the helpful tools at the
time of violation arises where the employees are getting this enhancement of compliances to
implement by the organisation benefits as well as to reduces the unwanted crises which happens
internally(Derous and Decoster., 2017). The workplace discrimination also configurated into
