INTRODUCTION
Overview of the research
The line managers and leaders of an organisation plays a crucial rule in managing and
coordinating various activities in an organisations. It is also the responsibility of managers and
leaders to make effective strategies and efforts for well being and development of employees in
order to motivate them to have better performance and enhanced productivity (Chai and et. al.,
2020). Thus, talent management and ensuring well being of workforce become essential for a
hotel or resorts to remain competitive and maintain its exclusiveness at competitive business
environment. Intercontinental Hotels and resorts are also among such organisations where
leaders and managers are having crucial role to develop its employees and ensure their well
being to achieve the desired goals and performance level.
Research aim
The main aim associated with this research work is, “To understate the importance of
talent management as strategic priority together with evaluation of role of line managers and
leaders in employees development and well being”.
Research objectives
The foremost objectives that are to be encountered through this research project
conducted on Intercontinental hotels and resorts are stated as follows:
To understand the priority of talent management in an organization.
To evaluate the role of line managers and leaders in employees development and well
being (Raffiee and Byun, 2020).
To develop better knowledge about the positive implications lead by effective talent
management in success of a hospitality organization.
Research Questions
What do you understand by the priority of talent management in an organization?

What role is played by line managers and leaders in employees development and well
being?
What positive implications are lead by effective talent management in success of an
hospitality organization?
Rationale of Research
This part of research project reflects the justification and importance of selection of a
research topic. In accordance with current research topic is justifiable and rational as it facilitate
better understanding about the crucial role played line managers and leaders in development and
well being of employees that is necessary to maintain the talented employees within the
organisation. Thus, current research topic is important to get better understanding about talent
management that is crucial concept for all organisation to maintain its viability and better success
level. Further, the selected research topic is also relevant and important form view point of
personal interest and academic background of research thus, lead to better development of skills
and knowledge in investigator.
Activities and timelines
The various activities involved in this particular research work are shown with the help of
a Gantt chart that provides specific information about time duration and sequence of all
activities. This Gantt chart has facilitates more clarity and transparency in research work
through presenting complex research task and activities in more better and systematic manner.

According to Mona Momtazian, 2016, In organization, the structure is changed through
new eras of management activities by Human Resource Management where it upbringing of new
techniques for improvement in organization cultural. Talent management play an important role
int where it identifies the top high potential or skilled employees which are giving value to an
organization by increasing its growth through their performances, thus talent management has
become a necessity for a company which access a lead through new resources, upgrading
technologies and provides the healthier management skills which helps to increases the internal
mobility, employee retention, facilities the training to high performers to furnish their skills for
aiming the succession planning and more competitive advantage of business to an individual or
