Abstract
The current research project is based on the topic, “To analyse the challenges faced by an
organisation in expanding the business at international level”. The organisation selected for this
investigation is Hotel My Bloomsbury and use of qualitative research method is made for current
investigation. In order to collect most viable and authentic data use of questionnaire is made
which ensures collection of data in most simplest way in order to meet and achieve the objectives
of current research work.

Chapter 1: Introduction
1.1. Background of research
The main of every organisation is to have better growth and expansion across various
location of world. The increasing competition and dynamic nature of customers has made is
crucial and more essential for organisation to focus more on its operation and functions to
maintain its sustainability and survive in a business market together with planning for future
expansion. But expansion at international level is not essay and an organisation has face to many
issues and challenges (Bendell, 2017). Hotel My Bloomsbury is a well known 4-star hotel
situated at Bayley Street, London, UK which is offerings stylish rooms with LCD flat-screen TV
together with a mix of vintage and designer furniture. All the services are provided to guests for
enjoyment along with tasty food, breakfast, brunch and other snacks. In order to maintain its
viability and encounter the competition prevailing in its business environment it become
essential for Hotel My Bloomsbury to look at some better opportunities and growth prospective.
Thus, the current research work is based on Hotel My Bloomsbury to evaluate about the possible
challenges that could be face by this organisation while expanding the business at international
level. Thus, the aim, objectives together with a literature review and research methodology is
included in this research project to successfully accomplish current investigation based on the
topic of challenges faced by an organisation in expanding the business at international level.
1.2. Research aim and objectives

The main aim of current investigation is To analyse the challenges faced by an
organisation in expanding business at international level.” - A case study on Hotel My
Bloomsbury
Research Objectives
The main purpose and objective behind conducting this investigation on Hotel My
Bloomsbury are as follows:

To determine the meaning of growth strategies along with alternatives by which business
can be developed.
To identify the challenges that are related to expansion at international level (Ghauri,
Grønhaug and Strange, 2020).
To suggest the ways by which issues can be prevented or overcome.
1.3. Rationale for project
The selection of current research work is rationale as it facilitates better knowledge about
business growth strategy to have better expansion and success of organisation. Further, this
research work also focuses on the challenges faced by an organisation in expanding the business
at international level together with strategies to overcome these challenges thus, selection of
current research topic is viable from view point of organisation. Further, it also ensures
betterment in skills and knowledge of researcher thus, all meet its personal growth and
development.
1.4. Research questions
Following research questions are evaluated and answered through current research work on
Hotel My Bloomsbury:
What does growth strategies mean and give some options through which a business can
be developed further?
What are the challenges faced during expansion at international level?
How the issues are can be overcome?
Chapter 2: Literature Review
A literature review is a complexify topic where the summary or description about the
research topic on the basis of reviewing with the aspect of surveys, scholarly articles, book and
online websites from which the sources of data information has been collected and it helps to
analyze is made the meeting the requirement and determining the nature of present research topic
(Whiteley, 2017). As the literature review on the to analyze the challenges faced by an
organization is expanding business at international level.
a) To determine the strategies for developing the business expansion
According to the Don Sadler, 2014. As the business ventures are made to success achieving
oriented or profits in which it deals with products and material to customers by which they

gradually invested the capital into the venture to expand and promote their product quality and
retain the consumer as much as they can. There are two main strategies which ahs to help for
expand the business are as follows:
By adding new product and services in product: As to promote the business through
introducing the product by new invention into it through implementing some features as to
making that product attractive where the consumer are vulnerable they want new change in
product as per the fluctuating of taste and preferences. The best way to accomplish the product
factor is going through for market research in proper and effective way through financial and
human towards new products and services expansion as to get know about the consumer demand
for new products and services on the basis of price and quality or quantity factor and
manufacturer, deliver etc (Biermann, 2017).
By Selling more and more products to existing consumers: As to selling the more products
to the existing consumer is to aspect of retain them because they are prior for the selling of the
products and business will expand through existing customer which is the reason to gaining the
more profits (Bryson, 2018).
b) To examine the challenges and issues regarding to expand the business level.
According to the Firas Kittaneh, 2018. To establish the business enterprise the entrepreneur
have to face the challenges in terms of the product expansion, less consumer retention and low
sales which directly impact on profits. Some of challenges which are considered to not gaining
the business exposure are:
Cash flow management: To having not effective mapping system of cash flow management
which is very essential for analysing about cash inflow and outflows of the cash (Brenton, 2019).
Responding the competitors: As the part of market players to sustain and stability of
product in that the business man have to respond the as manufacture the same product for
comparison as well as to attract the consumer (Knoke, 2018).
Nurturing a great company culture:Through involving with the consumer or big clients it
create the company culture where it hard to handle it as per the managing the systems of market.
Not having effective decision making: As by not having the effective decision making
system can create the conflict among the competitors or face to big loss in the market due to
wrong decisions.
