Along with this, human resource managementincludes process of planning, recruiting, selecting, training and many more to enhanceproductivity level of the company. Current report is based on The Lensbury, is four star hotel andConference Centre who operate their services in UK. It is hospitality sector as they serve theirquality services to customers. For this HRM is more important which helps workers to performtheir activities in effective manner. Role and purpose of HRM is mentioned in this project. Alongwith this, employees relation also discussed in this assignment as it directly contribute inestablishing positive image at market place. TASK 11.1 Role and purpose of human resource managementHuman resource management consider as an important for business organization as ithelps in managing as well as controlling all the business activities in systematic way. As itconsider various activities such as recruitment, selection, training- development, performanceappraisal and many more. With the help of this company easily attain set goals and objectives. Incontext of The Lensbury, is service industry which provide quality services to its customers asper their needs and wants. It is four star hotel which includes sports facilities like gym, 19 tenniscourts, a water sports centre. As hotel looking for a experiences Hotel receptionist to providebetter customers services to their number of guest. Along with this, the main purpose of HRM isto increase the profitability level of the company by managing entire activities of the hotel. Withthe help of this they easily enhance their productivity level at market place. In addition of this,there are some main roles of HRM in The Lensbury are as follows:Recruitment and selection: It is one of the important role of HRM through whichmanager easily hire right person for accurate place at correct time. As the main objectiveof HR manager to invite number of candidate to fill vacant place within the company(Bentley and et. al., 2012). For this company provide information through newspaperadvertisement and many more to hire capable candidate. On the other side, process of1

selection is also include techniques like aptitude test, interview and many more. With thehelp of this, manager select capable person towards the vacant place. Performance management: In this, it is important duty of HR manager to prepare rightsystem to execute entire activities of the company (Bratton and Gold, 2017). With thehelp of this workers get motivated towards the work which may leads in attaining setgoals and objectives in appropriate time frame. Training and development: It is one of the important role of HR manager to providebetter training and development programs to their workers in order to enhance their skillsand knowledge (TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT, 2018). With the help of this employeeseasily perform their activities to attaining set goals and objectives. Thus, manager have toevaluate the needs at the time of performing task in order to enhance overall performanceof the company.Human resource planning: Under this, HR manager responsible for preparing strategies,planning, procedures to their workers so that they effectively perform activities whichmay leads in attaining positive results. One of the main advantage of this is to retainworkers for longer period of time within the organization. Implementing policies: Under this, manager of company is responsible for execute anddevelop policies and plan within the organization as workers easily perform their taskaccordingly. Along with this, manager also includes all the workers at the time ofimplementing policies at workplace. 1.2 Human resources plan based on an analysis of supply and demandHuman resource plan is one of the important and effective process which define existingand future requirement of the company.
