the staff members. Good and strong employee relation helps in increasing the overall
productivity of employee and its company which contribute in success of the firm. It is an
effective process to encourage the employee to perform their best in every task and get positive
results in appropriate manner. Basically healthy relation among employer and employees is
effective tool to motivate the workers to perform their task in effective manner. In today's
business environment maintain better relation between employee and employer which aid in
improving performance of the company (Negotiation Strategy, 2017). It is not only increase the
productivity but also eliminate all the reasons which create conflicts in the company. Positive
environment is also define healthy relation which aid in achieving its targets. Present report is
based on Tesco PLC, it is a multinational outlet that operate their process in various countries.
This assignment include various approaches for maintaining employee relation. It also include
effective process to resolve all the conflicts which arise in organizational process. Along with
this it also discussed the impact of human resource manager on employee relations. It also define
various task which include unitary and pluralistic on the basis of employee relation.

1.1 Unitary and pluralistic frames of reference
In every organization various changes take place which affect the overall performance of
the company. All employee are the important assets of the company which contribute on its
success at marketplace. In recent time every employees wants to increase employee productivity
by motivating them and get best outcome in effective manner. For this there are two approaches
such as Unitary and pluralistic frames both are affect the employee relation in different ways.
Unitary frame: In this process of employee relation, there are one top authority who
manage all the process as well as operation that related to the employee relation and they take all
the important decision in appropriate manner (What is Employee Relations ?, 2017). It is main
and important duty of manager as well as top level management to define ethical work and
loyalty between all the employees so that they easily perform their work and get all the common
goals. Leadership should be encourage in an enterprise for increase performance and

productivity of employees. Further focus should be done on process of setting mutual goals as
this will ensure growth of both employers and employees (Bach and Kessler, 2011). This frame
define that union trade is more important in resolving all the conflicts which create in employees
mind which affect negatively on the business performance. So that it is more important resole all
the obstacles as possible in order to achieve its targets in appropriate manner.
Pluralistic frame: Under this approach, it define that organization include various type of
workers at working place. So that the working environment is a combination of various attitude,
behaviours, beliefs and different culture of the employees. In this management of the company is
more important to define effective process because at working place various people
communicate with each other so that it create more conflicts which is unavoidable but some time
it is not impact on the organization negatively (Bamber, 2013). Tesco include various employees
so that they work together and all are having different interest as well as opinion so that it is
important duty of company manager to maintain effective coordination among them and get
positive end results in appropriate manner. According to this approach trade union is also
important and positively affect the business performance by encouraging and motivating workers
and also give some authorities to take better decision. In this with the help of bargaining process
company achieve stability in employee relation.

In business process changes take place in trade unionism and which affect the employee
relation directly. It is an effective process as well as group or people that focus on resolving all
the problems and also save the interest of employees and employer in business so that they

workers to maintain positive and healthy relation among them. Every changes in business
environment affect the overall employee relation. Business organization use trade union to
develop as well as build positive relation with all the workers and also define the best
commitment to provide better support (Gupta and Kumar, 2012). All these activities of trade
union helps in setting goals and objectives and also defining effective utilization of available
resources in appropriate manner.

that it is more important for the organization to maintain better relation among them. By defining
main player of the firm which directly affect the organization performance in effective manner
and helps in achieving appropriate success. So that all the player define their roles and
responsibilities which is different form other members. These main player are as follows:
Employees: These are important assets of the organization who contribute in overall
success of the company. Employees perform all the activities to make final products for its
customers in order to attract more people (Heilman and Wallen, 2010). So that it is more
important for employee to perform their duties in appropriate manner which aid in achieving
higher success at marketplace. They all are work with minimum wastage of resources because it

organization in order to filling all the job position. So that it is important responsibility to
maintain standard of all the activities which perform in the firm in order to achieve positive
results. This aid in improving the quality products which were offering by the company to its end
users so that skilled and experiences workers are hired by the employer to met all the process of
the firm. Manager of the Tesco PLC increase their productivity by defining effective policies
which is related to the human resource management (Hou and Reber, 2011). Manager of perform

promote its products and service at market place as well as customers mind.

effectively. This association focus on increasing all the legislation to protect all the rights of
employees in appropriate manner.
Government: It play an important role every country because it define rules and

environment so that in this step it is more important to the fine effective reason of the

problems so that manager of the company easily resolve it (Morris, 2012). Lack of
training, inappropriate communication system, leadership problems all the common
reason of creating the problems in the business. It is main and important duty of company
manager to find better solution to make positive environment which assist in motivating
its workers to get positive results. Identify the way for solving conflicts: In this step it start after the identify the conflicts
which is based on solving the problem by using effective process. For this manager can
motivate their workers as well as employee by providing incentives which assist in
maintain the positive environment in the business. Effective communication system also
remove all the conflicts because it cut-down all the confusions at workplace and
employees mind (Ng and Feldman, 2012). Manager can adopt effective policy of no
harassment on various level of management. It is also an effective process to give
empower to its employees so that they take better decision of solution to resolve all the
conflicts at the workplace. Identification of ways to implement the process: After defining the better solution the

increase the satisfaction level of the employee in appropriate manner (Syed and Ali, 2010).
Because the negotiation increase the positive work environment and also maintain the god
relation among all the employees and also fulfil all the needs and wants of the workers. It is the
best and effective approach for employee and employer to evaluate the best solution of the
creating problems. There are some various roles of negotiation which are define in collective
bargaining process which are as follows in below mentioned: Negotiation aid in reaching an effective conclusion: In this the main and important role
of negotiation is to find best and effective solutions of the problems which arise in the
working place and faced by the employees. With the help of this process the staff
members are formal discussed with the top level management about all the issue that

wants and get their commitment in appropriate manner. Competing: According to this strategies in is negative strategy of negotiation process. In
this the one party put their best efforts to get maximum benefits so that this approach is
just opposite from the compromising. In this the one party think that their esteem is
