INTRODUCTION
In the present era, every business organisation desires to gain sustainable growth and
progress in the market and develop its wins competitive advantage. Corporate social
responsibility is one of the best way through which firm develop its won impressive brand image
and meet its sustainable goal (Erhemjamts and Venkateswaran, 2013). It is a an activity and
function through which firm ensure that its conduct fair and ethical business operation in the
market along with consideration of social, economical and environmental (Kemper and et.al.,
2013). In other word it can be said that CSR is a business approach that contributes to sustainable
growth and development by delivering social, environmental and economic benefits for all
stakeholders. It assist in developing trust of customer and employees so that they can be loyal
toward the company. The following research provides the depth knowledge and understanding
about the importance of corporate social responsibility in the business to gain the sustainable
benefits. Further, this study has been conducted in order to identifying the importance of CST
and how its implement inn the business enterprise for sustain the growth and progress.

In every business organisation, business decision is very important part through which firm can
take sound judgement by analysing collected data and information. Company can take effective
decision by analysis of collected data and interpretation. Research methodologies assist
organisation to taking the fair decision about the research. Process of collecting the data and
analysing then are termed as research methodology which are as follows-
Research Philosophies- Research philosophy allows scholar to analyse and assess the
actual issue of the research in a deep and systematic manner. There are two type of
research philosophies that is interpretivism and positivism research philosophy. While
research is based on the theories, finding then investor can used interpretivisom research
philosophies (Pérez, Martínez and Del Bosque, 20130. On the other hand if in the
research, scholar set some objective to address the aim then scholar can use positivism
research philosophies. In the following research, investigator can use interpritivism
research philosophy through which proper justification can address .This philosophy is
based on the beliefs and value and natural environment is the major key of this
philosophy in this research project. In this research, qualitative technique of research has
been done so as the selection of interpretivism was effective and suitable.
Research approach- Research approach is another important part of the research through
which scholar can analyse the research problem by use of theory or by testing of a
hypothesis. In this manner, there are two type of research approach that is inductive and
deductive approach (Neuman, 2016). When the investigator frames research questions
with the aim of attaining research aim then inductive research approach takes into the
consideration. On the other hand if in the research there is existence of hypothesis then
deductive research can be used. In the following research, investigator can use inductive
research approach because the entire research has based on the research question and
there is conceptual framework is created by the investigator to find out the outcomes. In

the following study, inductive research approach provides an appropriate results and
increase the competitive advantage and sustainability.
Research design- This is another major important p[art of the research which provide a
clear framework to address the objective. With assistance of this research design,
investigator can frame the question in order to meet the objective of research. In this
following research, scholar can use descriptive design through which people can take
part into the research (Hofman and Newman 2014). Generally it have three major part
that is case study, observation, survey. In the survey method, questionnaire can prepare
and interview can conducted by the investigator .On the other hand in the case study
design, dept research can done by group and in the observation, investigator analyse and
observe the view point of participant or respondent. In this following research, scholar
can use the survey method under which there can prepare a systematic questionnaire and
filled by the manager of charlottes street hotel in order to identify their view about the
corporate social responsibility.
Data collection- This is the major important part of the research through which necessary
data or information about the topic can gathered by the investigator. Generally, there are
major two type of research data collection, that is primary and secondary data collection
method. In the primary data collection, investigator can use survey, questioner, interview
of the respondent in order to collect the primary information (VanPatten and Williams,
2014). On the other hand in the secondary data collection method, scholar can use books,
journals, articles, websites, internet in order to obtain and gather the information about

Data analysis- This is another major important part of the research through which scholar
can analysis of the gathered information. After collecting the data, investigator requires
assessing and analysing the gather information so as sound decision and judgement can
take by investigator. There are major two type of data analysis method that is quantitative
and qualitative (Savin-Baden and Major 2013). In the qualitative research technique, the

the other hand in the quantitative techniques SPSS and t test based analysis included. In
the following research study, qualitative thematic analysis method which aids in

Sampling- In order to collect the primary data, scholar can use random sampling method.
In this manner, sample size for the research has 15 manager of cited venture.
Research limitation- In order to conduct the research study, investigator have faced
various kinds of research limitation. Investigator was not sufficient time to accomplish
the research because scholar have to complete research within the limited time period. On
the other hand lack of sufficient financial resources is another major limitation of the
research study because investigators have not sufficient fund.

that corporate social responsibility is very important aspect to improve competitive advantage of
the organisation and there are direct relationship between these two terms that is corporate social
responsibility and company’s competitive advantages and growth.

and develop strong image in the market because it develop trust and loyalty among employees as
well as customer. It has been also concluded from this report that Charlotte street hotel is facing
the issue related to employees safety and employees rights. Thus by conducting corporate social
responsibility, firm can effectively meet the need of employees and provide then effective
working environment. It has been also concluded that company can conduct corporate social

Recommendation
Cited firm should organise the social welfare activities and programs in every year. This
will aids in improving the brand image of the company and satisfied customer in an

increasing investor interest an they will invest in the company. This will help in
conducting the CSR activities.

Cited venture should consider on environmental friendly product and servicers through
which it can develop its effective brand image in the market and attract the large number
of buyers.
Company should reduce the wastage from its operational activities so as it can save the

Company should provide attractive reward sand incentive to its employees so as they can
motivate and encourage to effective performance and attain the determined objective of

In this following report, i have learnt various skills and knowledge about a systematic
research report and investigate relevant data by appropriate sources. In order to implement the
corporate social responsibility within the firm, i have learnt various methods and tools that can
used in the research. I have learnt that effective planning is very important ion the research
project through which investigator can effectively attain its desired objective of research. In the
research project, by use of Gantt chart i have learnt to organise the activities according to the
limited time period.

From this research project, i have learnt that there are two type of research techniques,
research approach, research philosophies, and data collection method. In this report i have used
the primary data collection method through which i have learnt that how organise survey, and
how prepare a systematic questionnaire in order to identify the views and option of respondent. I
have collected data and information from the manager of Charlotte street hotel and analysed their
views about the corporate social responsibility. I have like to interacted with them and through
which i have improved my communication and analysis skill.
From this research project, i have learnt that corporate social responsibility is very
important aspect for every organisation through which any firm can develop its won brand image
in the market and gain sustainable growth. From this entire study, my technical skill has been
also improved because i have gain the knowledge about SPSS and T testing. I have also learnt
the problem solving skill because while i start the research , cited firm was facing the issue
related to employees rights and security. By conducting survey and gathered information, i have
successfully found out the best solution for the organisation to overcome this mentioned issue.
While i was started research, then i have very little knowledge about the corporate social
responsibility and research techniques but after study i have learn various kinds of similar
knowledge, skill and ability.
