Digital disruption
Digital disruption can be defined as the change which takes place when new
techniques in digital era are invested and business models leave impact upon value
propositions of products and services. Main reason behind such type of events is
emergence of business model and digital technologies. It results in changes in
fundamental behaviors and expectations in a market, culture, process or industry
which is expressed by analogue assets. Organization which is selected for this
project is Kodak which a camera manufacturing company.

Effect of digital disruption on businesses
Digital disruption is an unstoppable force and trying to fight with it is a futile.
There are various affects of it on Kodak which are as follows:
It results in changes in customer's need which results in decreased sales of
business entities which are not able to adapt technology transformation.
Digital disruption enhances competition which affects business entities to make
changes in their strategies and continuous modification in them can result in
bad performance.

Uses of data as a business tool
Data which is gathered from different sources is used by organizations such as Kodak
as business tool for various purposes. It is required for a the company because with the
help of it different types of strategies such as marketing, sales, human resource etc. can
be formulated. It is collected by conducting market research, surveys, asking questions
from customers, through websites etc. In Kodak questionnaires are used in order to
collect data which is utilised while forming strategic decisions.
