Skills audit is said to be an effective approach which is being utilised by an individual at
the time of analysing his or her own skills in specified time frame (Eraut, 2014). Being a part of
Limp Group, my journey has started while raising funds for teenage cancer through identifying
all the gap in between the desired position and the actual position of the skills that an individual
is having. In order to conduct a well-known research on the chosen topic i.e. fundraising for
teenage cancer research, me and Limo group's members has gone through range of difficulties

In present context, I have gone through different cases, which helped me to find out to
work on different range of skills and these are, interpersonal skills, decision making,
communication and time management as well (Goldman, Scott and Follman, 2015). Considering
the audit skills it can be said that I am having 6 out of 10 ratings within the decision making
skills and what is needed for me to become a good leader to raise funds for the Teenage cancer to
have at least 9 ratings out of 10 within the same. Along with this, considering the audit scale it is
required for me to have around 8 out of 10 ratings within the communication skills and at the
moment I am having around 6.5 or7 out of 10. Method and the last skill which is need to be

it can easily be said that I am having around 5.5 out of 10 as my rating regarding the same. In
order to become a successful leader for a fundraiser for the research campaign, it will be required

With the help of above mentioned table, it can be said that there are two areas in which I
am weak which might impact upon my overall performance while conducting the research for
raising the funds for teenage cancer. These two specific areas are building effective relationships
and assigning tasks to individuals within the team. Both of these are comprehended underneath
in a detailed manner.
Building relationships: While focusing on this area of teamwork skill I can say that, it is
not an easy task for a person to build up relations with other members because they might have
different range of perceptions regarding the same topic which mirror is conflicts among then.
This could be understood with good example where, me and one of my teammate were
discussing in the meeting is that we should develop a Facebook page and start collecting the
funds for teenage cancer. But what he said was that it is not a good idea and ask for opening a
page building a page on Instagram rather than Facebook. This raise conflict among both which
impacted negatively upon overall performance as well. This could easily be resolved through
focusing upon Darwin’s theory which indirectly help me and my teammates in developing a
good relationship with each other while performing different range of tasks light marketing in
regards to teenage cancer, giving task to each other as per the capabilities and many more other
things as well. If it is talk about me, it is required for me to develop the skill because this will
directly help me in in developing or working hours different range of upcoming assignments
within the university (Jackson, 2014).

Assigning tasks: another crucial area, which is required to be studied in a proper sense in
order to maximize the benefits of a project or while working within the project as it will directly
e loosen up the situation where a person me directly attend daily tasks objective with an ease.
Under this as well, Belbin’s theory can easily be implemented because it requires a team worker
and this is what Belbin’s theory teaches. I found out that, the rating which was given to me was
right because I was afraid of assigning wrong task to wrong person because of the unknown
skills all the knowledge my teammate was having while conducting the investigation regarding
teenage cancer. While working in the Limo group, it can easily be said that working on the
cancer topic which is already a sensitive one among people an individual would require to focus
upon perceptions what others are thinking.
Then only I can easily Grab a good position within the team through which proper
conduction will take place of the research (Lee and et. al., 2016).
2.2. Communication skill:
Communication skills mainly include different types of essential elements within it such
as, writing; listening and speaking all these skills are required by me to be effectively developed.
With the help of I can effectively able to connect and communicate with different types of
individuals. As every person have different attributes thus effective communication will help me
to handle different prospects of person. Furthermore, communication skills will benefit me to
effectively communicate with individuals and make them understand the real cause of my
fundraising which is related to collecting money for those kids who are suffering from cancer
(Sargeant and et. al., 2015).
2.3. Experience using ~Gibb’s Experiential Learning
While going through, the project there were many good and bad moments that I
experienced at the time of performing different range of tasks. A situation that I am going to
share here using Gibb's experiential learning model was actually a bad experience, which
impacted negatively on overall performance level of my own and of project as well. A detailed
discussion of Gibb's Model presenting the problem is given underneath:
