INTRODUCTION
Skill audit is defined as analysing the skills of an individual and also to assess
potential developments in skills of an individual. In order to develop the skills based on the
skill audit personal development plan is prepared. This plan is comprises information over
potential skills to develop, tools needed to develop the skills and also the time frame require
to grow such skills. Henceforth, report will analyse about the individual’s development from
the fund raising event. All the key skills that have developed from the event will be reflected
in this report. This report will also give reflection with the support of Gibb’s Reflective cycle
model over one specific skill. Furthermore, report will summarises the personal development
plan. On the basis of the skill audit this personal development plan will be developed.
Associated opportunity with the personal development plan will also summarise in this
report. Report will also emphasis over two or three avenues that needs to be developed.

Reflection on self development
I was one of the members of the fund raiser event. Social activities are an effective
medium to develop the overall personality as an individual. Social activities get opportunities
to learn new things and experiences that contribute in the overall development of personality.
Fund raiser event has contributed in the personality development. I got to learn different areas
of personality such as different skills, attitude that i carry and other key aspects of my
personality. I aimed to observe different aspects of my personality with the support of
participation in the fund raiser event. I got to know about some of my skills that i already had
but never realised. Skills like communication skills, interaction skill, leadership skill which i
could identify about myself. Social activities are provide immense opportunities to learn new
aspects of the personality development (Feldon and et.al.,2019). With the support of entire
event of fund raising i got the opportunity to launch different campaigns, I got the
opportunity to host events in public; I also prepared holdings to promote the fund raising
activity in public. All such activities has drives me to learn new skills and abilities. We also
planned trips in different education institutes in respect to fund raising activity. We also
conducted road plays to raise awareness about the fund raising event. All the activities we
conducted by aiming to raise potential funds has allowed me to grow my personality and

skills. All events associated with the fund raising activity has allowed me to grow decision
making skill, acting skill, presentation skills, communication skill, time management skill
and also the other skill. All such skills have supported me in growing my overall personality
development.
Skills play an important role in achieving effective career objectives in professional
life. Social events are the true base to develop and grow the overall personality as an
individual. I got to learn and grow my different aspects of personality along with different
skills like communication skill, presentation skill, decision making skill, hosting skill and
other key skills (Bowie and et.al., 2017). Social activities provide practical exposure to
develop all such skills rather emphasis on the theoretical background to develop all the skills.
Practical exposure considers as the key learning technique. With the support of different
activities associated with the fund raising event i got to develop all such skills. I also got the
proper guidance from the senior members in the team towards developing my skills.
Team work is also a key aspects associated with the social causes events. As all social
causes are implemented with the support of team. All individual activities involved in the
charity event have segregated into different parts on the basis of the strengths of the
individual teams. In the surveillance of the team leaders i also got to learn about the research
skills. Research is also an important aspect of conducting social cause events. On the basis of
research all activities are plan in the fund raising event (Cabral and Dhar, 2019). During the
different activities conducted to raise funds i also learnt the planning process to implement
any operation. Planning is an important part of the operations. All activities are conducted on
the basis of the planning process. During the fund raising event i have learnt the planning
process. Different aspects of the planning I get to learn during the entire fund raising event. I
also adopt analytical skill in the fund raising skill. Analytical skill is also among the key skill
associated with the personality development activity.
I can state that the entire fund raising event has been the great experience for me. I got
to learn different skills that have improved my overall personality as an individual. Skill
plays an important role in developing the overall personality as an individual. The above
mentioned brier disclaimer has projected all the key skills i have developed with the support
of fund raising event. Due to all the skill i have grown up my entire personality also.

REFELCETION MODEL
Gibb’s reflective model is highly famed framework that is used for personal reflection
and implements in different situations and assists to evaluate. This model is designed by
American psychologist and sociologist Grahams Gibbs (Sweet and et.al., 2019). I used the
framework for sharing my feeling which I felt while developing employability skills. The
model supports person to think systematically about their experience which they have
experienced while dealing with number of task or situation. In addition, I have analyzed all
my strengths, weaknesses, driving factors etc. helps me to develop skills. The model contains
various stages which are explained as follows:
Description
It is the initial stage of the reflection model in which explains about events on which
reflection is given in details. There was fundraising event which is designed to support the
Brain Tumor Charity. The event was organized for the one week only and I was involved in
it. There were another people as well who gives contribution in the event. Me and my friends
distributed tasks for the event so that we could get success in the event (Hill and et.al.,2019).
I developed plan to enlist number of activities which would execute in the event and guided
me to carry out all tasks in systematic manner (Al-Jubouriand Al-Jubouri, 2019). Thus, I and
my friends handled all activities related to event effectively. I took guidance from senior
authorities as well while designing the fundraising event. The reason behind was that I
wanted to make sure that is executed by me must effective and easy to raise more funds
through donors.
Feelings
It is the second phase in which express real feelings before and after the event. While
working in the fundraising event has numerous emotions in me. For example, I was bit
nervous to listen that it will extend for 1 week. But the event was related to fundraising which
will support brain tumor charity so I was more excited. While working in the event in
experienced various new things which I never faced such as I never work in team as team
member. It was difficult task for me because other people who involve in a team, has
different point of view and personality as well. But when I started to work with them and
understood individual behavior in a team then it assisted me to build good relation with them.
When event was fully succeeded then felt too much good. So, it was great feeling for me that
I developed team working skills and succeeded event effectively.

Evaluation
It is third stage that supports to examine all things like which action went wrong or
right. It is required to access that event was properly achieved or not. There were various
things in the event which went well while working in the project. For example, I have good
communication skills that support me to interact with different type of people effectively. I
communicate with potential donors who provided funds for the charity (Hilliard, Jamesand
Batt, 2017). Even this event also liked by external team and other people who attended the
event for raising funds. There were few things which caused face different issues while
conducting fundraising event. For example, I unable to work in team because each has
different perception and wanted to give first preference of their views. Due to lack of
understanding unable to communicate to each other effectively. In addition, I examined that
my problem-solving skills was not good because I unable to resolved issues which faced by
team while conducting event. Issues were conflicts, lack of clarity in tasks and others. Due to
these reasons event was not more effective as I expected.
Analysis
It is another stage of the Gibb’s reflective model which is related to the evaluation of
learning that learns by individuals while working on the task for the event. I learned two
skills while executing the event for example team working that helps me to work with the
team effectively. By the event I understood significance of team working. In addition, I
learned how to communicate different personality effectively whenever works in a team.
Whatever issues faced by me while working in a team. I have decided that I will keep high
understanding whenever I will work in team for such type event.
Conclusion
It is last stage that is related to looking all the situations that faced while working in
the fundraising event. When I analyzed whole event and the steps which could be taken
effectively in the event to meet its objectives. When I evaluated my performance in the event
in found there were various things which was done effectively by me such as task allotment,
motivates group member to take their responsibility positively. There were major weaknesses
were problem solving skills and team working skills that causes I unable to give best
performance in the event. But while working in the event I learned both skills. Apart from

this, I have decided to improve my weaknesses while taking classes and reading journals
books.
Action plan
It is second last stage of the model in which overall action could be taken to deal with
similar situation. I aligned my weaknesses because it supports to improve my personality and
employability skills as well. I have decided if I get same opportunity in the future then I will
work with team effectively and gives creative solution to resolve issues. I knew this time
fundraising event was not too much effective but next time I will give effective performance
in the event. Thus, I will improve my team working and problem-solving skills.
