INTRODUCTION
Social media is the collective websites terms and application which keep focus on community
based input, communication, collaboration, content sharing and interaction. This report will

explain about the aim and objective with research question. Along with this also evaluate
about the various research methods and how they are being used in making research relevant.
Aim
To investigate the role of social media and its various platforms in increasing sales of
retailing sector due to pandemic: A case study on M&S.
Objective
To discuss the concepts of social media and its various platform in increasing sales of
retailing sector.
To identify importance or role of social media and its various platform in M&S.
To examine the challenges or impacts of social media and its various platforms in
increasing sales of organization.
To recommend the strategic for social media and its various platform in increasing
sales of organization.
Research methodology
Research that is the framework of research techniques and methods and also allow the
research methods which are suitable for subject matter and set up studies for success.
Basically two types of research methods such as qualitative and quantitative methods (Naeem,
2021). Here, the scholar will do qualitative research methods in which the non-numerical data
will be collected. Research approaches is known as procedures and plan for research, that can
span the steps from the various assumption to detailed various methods of collection,
interpretation and analysis. Generally, this research has been divided into two types such as,
inductive and deductive. In this research, inductive research will be held which help them for
collecting the relevant data and generate the untested conclusions. This is the process of
gathering and measuring the information by targeting variables in developed system. While,
this has been divided into two types such as primary and secondary data collection methods
(Vordos and et.al., 2020). Along with this scholar will do primary and secondary research
methods. For which scholar will select the primary data will be collected through using
questionnaire, interview or observation sample size will be 30 employee of organization and
here, random sampling method will be used for making the relevant research.
