INTRODUCTION
The concept of Strategic Human Resource Management highlights upon the advance plans and
procedures that needs to be formulated by business enterprises in order to manage their
workforce in a competent and effective way. Strategic human resource management can be

advancements within the HR operations of a business entity in order to attain higher

importance of strategic human resource management has been increased lately. The reason for

expectations of the customers in a more defined and effective way. The proposed project report
will highlight upon the emerging trends and its influence upon the respective HR strategies
formulated by the Marriott Organisation within the market environment. It will also assess the
impact of external as well as internal factors upon the HR operations of the concerned business
firm. Moreover, suitable theories and concepts of HRM are also discussed within the respective
report. The report also highlights upon the change management models In the HR department of
the firm. The measurement of human resource outcomes are also mentioned within the proposed
report. Furthermore, the ways in which HR functions and activities can support and encourage
sustainability and growth in the performances of employees is also assessed and discussed within
the concerned report.

environment which may have direct or indirect influence upon the HR operations and strategies
of business enterprises within the hospitality sector ( Greer, 2021). Marriot is a global
multinational hospitality firm that has its business operations scattered in multiple countries
around the globe. The three major trends and advancements within the field of market
environment that has influenced the HR policies and procedure of Marriot are as follows:-

The global integration and international capitalisation of business firm is one of the most
emerging trends within the hospitality business sector. Marriot also capitalizes upon the global
platform in order to enhance its employee search. The respective firm needs to employ trained
and skilled employees who can meet the global demand and provide enhanced customer
satisfaction as well ( Kaufman, 2020). The respective trend has impacted the hiring and
