This management technique isknown to lead towards faster decision-makingwhere only a single person's preference areconsidered. The autocratic management stylesis best to be used in the time of crisis whenHilton Hotel makes uses of Consultativemanagement style which allows for morediscussion than an autocratic style. there is a limited time. of decision making. Another style of management used by Marriotthotel is Persuasive, in which a leader tends tomaintain the control of final decision making. The leader makes the choices based on thepersuasion of its subordinates. Here, theemployees convinces their managers about thebenefits of a decision and he tends to make thefinal decision. The persuasive style only worksbest when the employees provides necessaryinput and trust the made decisions (Smith,2014).Hilton uses democratic style of management. In this style of management, the managers ofthe hotel offers it employees the opportunitiesto get engaged into the process of decisionmaking. All the decisions are agreed by themajority. The communication tends to travel onboth top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top within thehotel's employees and leaders. The style hassaid to slow down the process of decisionmaking and to be inefficient at times. Marriott hotels uses laissez-faire style ofmanagement. This style is opposite of theautocratic style of management. The laissez-faire allows the employees of the organisationto make the majority of the decisions. Theemployees are provided with guidance fromthe management when needed. In thismanagement style, the manager is consideredas a mentor than a leader. The laissez-fairestyle is used in the environment where risksand risks taking is encouraged. It has beenobserved that this style of leadership makes ishard for the organisation to make its decisions. Another style of management used by Hilton isManagement by Walking around (MBWA)style of management. The techniques revolvearound listening. The managers of the hoteltends to gather information by listening to thethoughts of their stakeholders working withinthe organisation. While using this style ofmanagement the managers are said to becounsellors but not directors. The madedecision get respected and received by all theorganisational employees and stakeholders. The style tends to create problems when theorganisations employees do not support themanagement (Dixon, 2017).2
