INTRODUCTION
The developing manager means a person who is responsible for delivery of the project at
right time and helps to keep the development team on right track. It provides day to day technical
management and guidance to employees on development activities. The developing managers
perform various duties in order to develop the business activities (Beamish, 2013). This project
report will emphasis on Clayton Crown Hotel which is established in Stratford city, London. It
provides different types of products and services in order to attract the customers. The report will
cover different topics such as management style and comparison among them, leadership
characteristics, management skills performance, communication process in chosen business,
organisation culture and change in selected business, SWOT analysis, prior targets and
objectives in order to develop own potential and motive of a team to achieve the goals and
objectives. Apart from this report will discusses about managerial and personal skills, managerial
decision made to support achievement of agreed goals and career development needs that help to
increase the profitability.
Aims: The main aim of this project report is to gain the knowledge about behaviour
management principles, managerial potential and roles and responsibility of a manager within
organisation to achieve the decided goals and objectives.

Compare different management style
Management style is the method which is used by a person in their organisation to
accomplish the goals and objectives. The manager of business organisation decide the goals and
objectives and make efforts to complete the goals (Cozolino, 2014).
Classical theory: This theory is mainly focused on employee's physical and economic
needs that should be complete. This theory does not consider social needs and job satisfaction
satisfaction in business organisation. It involves different types of management theories such as
scientific management, Bureaucratic and system approach. The comparison among management
style are given as:
Classical management theory in Marriott hotel
This company is following Bureaucratic approach which was established by Max Weber.
It helps organisation for systematic formation of any industry and designed to ensure economic

effectiveness and efficiency. This is ideal model of management that helps manager to operate a
business under a hierarchy structure in order to increase the productivity.
Classical management theory in Clayton crown hotel
Clayton crown hotel is following Scientific management theory which is different from
Bureaucratic approach. In this theory, manager focuses on planning, specialisation,
simplification and standardisation in order to establish productivity and profitability. Moreover,
it helps create mutual relation between employer and employees in order to achieve goals.
To make the comparison for management style of Hilton Glasgow and Clayton crown
hotel has been taken. The comparison between different management style are shown as:
Management style in Marriott hotel
Hilton Glasgow is following Autocratic style in which manger make decision without
employees suggestion. The manager of this organisation maintain the productivity by making
fast decision and they assign the work among employees to accomplish the goals (Dixon, 2017).
Management style in Clayton crown hotel
Clayton crown is biggest hotel who is following democratic leadership style which is
different from autocratic style. In this style, manager share the information with employees and
get suggestion to make business decision. This is effective style which help companies to share
the problems and get solution collectively in order to make correct business decision.
Discuss leadership characteristic
Leadership is the important element of business organisation as it helps to lead and
motivates the employees in order to achieve goals and increase the profitability. Leader is person
who influences and guide staff in order to accomplish the objectives. The leaders of Marriott and
Clayton crown hotel has different types of characteristics such as:
Leaders of Marriott hotel provide a proper guidance to their employees and
inspire them to accomplish the goals.
In Marriott, leader innovate new ideas and generate new techniques to accomplish
the targets.
The leader of Clayton Hotel have a characteristics of strong communication that
helps to influence people and give confidence to focus on targets.
In Clayton, leaders are innovative and positive who always try to bring new and
attract the customer in order to increase the number of customers.
