INTRODUCTIONEmployability skill includes positive attitudes, trans-arable skills, good technicalunderstanding, knowledge, team work, self management, communication, willingness to keeplearning, thinking skills etc. These skills of employees help organisation to increase its revenue.This report is based on Travelodge. It is hospitality industry in United Kingdom. It was foundedin 1985 and headquartered at England. This report will explain own responsibilities andperformance objectives as HR manager. It will evaluate own effectiveness against definedobjectives. furthermore, study will explain motivational techniques for improving quality ofperformance. This report will describe solution to work based problems and effective timemanagement strategies. It will analyse roles people play in a team and how they work together toachieve the shared goals. This study will analyse team dynamics. It will also suggest alternativeways to complete tasks and achieve team goals.TASK 11.1 Responsibility and performance objectives of HR manager.Personal responsibility:Being a HR manager in the Travelodge, my responsibility is to develop coordinationamong all employees and make them able to perform their duties well. HR manager needs tohave adaptability skills whereby they can adapt changing work environment and can managework accordingly.Decision making process:I am responsible for making decision in the business. I have to take decision on severalissues such as raising motivation level of employees, resolving conflict situation. If there is newtechnology in the market then I have to take decision of providing training to staff members sothat people can perform their duties well (Lin, Wang and Ellingwood, 2016). I have to make thepolicies which can be beneficial for Travelodge.Resolve the problems:
This is another responsibility of mine; I play the role of problem resolver. Being a HRmanager of Travelodge my responsibility is that I have to resolve the problems that occur inbusiness.Performance ObjectivesI want to be able to present myself at corporate level within 2 month.My performance objective is to become a good planner and develop my communicationskill to great extent with 1 month.I want to develop my knowledge about employment policies and laws.1.2 Evaluating own effectiveness against defined objectives.Professional standards state that HR manager of the company needs to have goodcommunication skill. Individual must be able to interact with others well and must make peopleaware with their roles and responsibilities. I want to become good communicator but recently mycommunication skill is not good. I am unable to make people understand with their role andresponsibilities. Due to cultural difference sometimes I fail to understand their problems and thatis why my communication is not appropriate with them.My performance objective is to present myself very well at corporate level. Recently Ihave average presentation skill. I cannot properly present in front of large audience. I am underconfident person and whenever I have to present in front of large audience then I feel so nervous.I need to improve my presentation skill because HR manager have to present many things infront of employees and higher authorities. This always aids them in meeting the organisationalgoal and making people aware with the existing position. This enhances clarity at workplace. Butas my presentation skill is average thus, I need to work upon it so that I can meet the professionalstandards (Claridge and O’CONNOR,2018)..My performance objective is to become good planner, being a HR manager it is myresponsibility to plan everything so that task can be completed on time. If planning is notappropriate then it might create issue in accomplishment of task badly. Recently my planningskills are average. I am not that much effective in it, I need to improve this skill so that I canbecome a good human resource manager in the organisation.
