INTRODUCTION
Organizational culture and structure are two different elements that help to boost
productivity and performance level of a company. With principles, norms, and values, culture of
a firm influence to administration’s frame of references that could shapes businesses structure in
systematic manner. A structure of company can be defined as system that outlines how all
activities are directed in companies to achieve strategic aims and objectives. While
organizational culture can define as collection of expectations, values and practices that
influence and inform practices of all group members. The current assignment will be based on
Fire Brigades Union, which falls under category of leading public service organizations in the
United Kingdom. This study will explain different forms of organizational structure and map put
a company chart. It will define the role of an organization culture and its influence upon
employee behaviour. Furthermore, this report will describe local and central government policies
impact on chosen firm.
It will justify accountability and monitoring in chosen company by considering relevance
of chain command, span of control, line of centralization and authority. Moreover, this
assignment will clarify management approaches and styles in organization and will also define
concept of motivation as well as its implication. It will explain significant of organizational
behaviour to team performances in public sector.

Organizational structure and chart
An organization structure is a system that has been utilised by different companies to
define a hierarchy (Shokri Gazafroudi, Prieto and Corchado, 2019). It determined each role, its
accountabilities and functions where applicants reports to within enterprises. In the world of
business, different forms of structure are available that a public sector company can use
according to its operations and venture size.
Hierarchical structure-
This type of organizational structure is quite beneficial as it tend to resemble pyramids
with excellent degree of authority and power at quite top. Militaries, government and other
public sector companies employ it as the best structure.
Flat organizational structure-

Flat companies have a structure with few degree of middle administration between
workers and leadership or, in certain cases, no lower level management at all (Aasi, Rusu and
Leidner, 2017).
Divisional structure-
With this form of structure, workers within Public Sector Company just likes Fire
Brigade union work on task or project that meet need of customers. For example, chosen
company with fire fighters can structure teams based work on key consumers such as a person
who falls under fire and needs support from firemen.
Mapping organizational chart-

Assessing forms of structures-
As discussed above, hierarchical structure of public sector companies is quite beneficial
in term of permit members to known whom they report and who reports to each of them, but it
can give lack of flexibility in nature as it tend to adapt slowly to modified needs.
Along with this one, divisional structure is also good as it help to keep all sections either
operational or functional of their own. While, it create conflicts at workplace because each
divisional head want to build supremacy and to satisfy their needs resources can provide
accordingly that lead to minimize key assets and then issues among different heads.

Flat structure of a public service company is easy to manage and work with it, but it can
limit long term progress of a business.
Role of organizational culture and its influence on behaviour of employee within Fire Brigades
Union
Culture can be described as pattern of shared and learned beliefs and behaviour as well of
a specific ethnic, social or group. It can also define as complex entire of collective human faith
with a structure phase of civilization that can particular to a time duration.
An organizational culture is appropriate manner to behave or act within a company like
Fire Brigade union. It consists of shared principle and beliefs establish by experience person
such as leaders and the reinforced and communicated by them through different approaches,
ultimately shaping workers perceptions, understanding and nature as well in systematic manner
(Mohtaramzadeh, Ramayah and Jun-Hwa, 2018).
When leader or fire chief behave with all fire fighters effectively by conducting ethical
practices it create positive culture at workplace which is quite beneficial for business growth in
term of increasing efficiency and productivity of applicants in effective manner. Organizational
culture play vital role in success and excellent progress of chosen company in term of increasing
productivity level of staff and boosting their morale in productive manner. It can be analysed that
a culture at public sector and other firms sets high expectations for how candidates behave and
work together at same place without creating any conflict and how effectively they perform as a
effective group.
For example, when fire chief use his or her decision making power without making any
differences between existing and new fire fighters, it leads to develop influencing culture at
company where all staff members feels positively and like to work with public sector firm for
longer period of time.
When above concept could applies in companies like Fire Brigades Union has operated in
the United Kingdom, it influence on staff behaviour in positive manner because leaders guide
each worker effectively without conducting any unethical practices which create negativity
among fire fighters that leads to decease performance level and efficiency (Arifina and et.al.,
2019). Positive and supportive culture always influence candidates behaviour in positive manner
as it mainly affects communication, motivation, improves Fire Brigades Union values, promote
individual learning & understanding as well as improved problem solving and group decision

making in influencing manner, which in return increase productivity and profitability of public
sector organizations even better.
Impact of central & local government policies upon Fire Brigades Union
Central government is controlling authority over unitary state; it has power to create a
law or regulation for entire nation, in contrast with local governments. While local government
can be defined as management of a specific district or country, with council elected by those who
live there. Both forms of government and their polices could impact Fire Brigade Union
company and its business practices in positive manner because by following rules and policies
organization can serve its services to local people in effective and ethical manner as it help to
conduct acts that are beneficial for firm in different manner in term of allowing sustaining for
longer period of time with public sector that is important (Gray and Barford, 2018). According to
the policy of central government, rescue team or fire fighters must work with people, ventures
and other companies to decide how to work appropriately and successfully in those areas where
they want to serve or nearby Fire Brigade Union. It play vital role in growth of company as it
help fire men to reach to needy place where local people need their support in term of rescue life
from fire, it contribute to build trust between service user and provider.
Furthermore, along with central government, local authority also impact in similar
manner and play important role in form of saving life of local people, which is the main priority
of Fire fighters and Fire Brigade Union as well. It make a clear rescue and fire services
guidelines through which company can serve its excellent services and improve service standards
in quite professional manner. By implementing and following practices according to guideline or
policy, firm could rescue poor or needy people across nation, which is very useful and beneficial
in term of increasing number of service users and also individual who are safe from dangerous
things like fire at home or in the office area where he or she work. According to Fire & Rescue
services Act 2004, fire service provide firms such as Fire Brigade Union should establish plan on
legal basis, its management must oversees work of rescue and other services relate sector in
which company has worked from longer period of time, as it leads to minimize damages of
property and risk in context of human life.
Accountability and monitoring in chosen company by considering chain of command
Monitoring companies within public sector plays significant role in term of making
public services reliable and accountable forever that helps to save life of local people and allow

practices. For example, span of control is a method or act through which monitoring firms can
monitor each activity of organization and measure its operational efficiency in detail which is

fighters can save from accidental act.
Furthermore, it play important role in making public services responsible by guiding and
providing appropriate directions, which is actually require to do. By conducting above practice,
firms can make services accountable by driving them towards understanding importance of chain
of command that confers power which help order workers to perform a task with their job role
and description that is essential. Moreover, line of authority is another concept that helps to make

It is one of the best approaches of management which drive attention of manager to
attempt all elements together that is relate to functions of administration as it help to keep good
service standard. It brings together management principles, methods, concepts and techniques in
administration practices that assist to manage everything systematically.
Styles-
Authoritative management style-
It is the best management form where manager is in complete control, it drives its
business and workers towards achieving common objectives and aims successfully by working
together at each phase of fire service process, directing and guiding them to success.
Consultative-
It is one of the most effective and useful management styles in the world because it allow
manager or leader to take one step ahead in form of taking suggestions from fire fighters and
other members while developing in future plan in context of providing better services with the
latest technologies.
Autocratic management style-
It is characterized by centralized control and management as well as strong power with a
individual source of authority. With this style manager by motivation workers externally through
penalties and rewards increase this productivity even better, which in return maximize ability of
company to serve its services to local people.
It can be analysed that management play beneficial and helpful role in public services in
term of providing quality products and services according to local people needs and demands on
time in systematic manner. As discussed above, three different forms of management styles and

methods has been discussed among them human relation approach and consultative management
style is appropriate as it help to boost productivity of team in context of conducting varied tasks.
About motivation and its implication to public services firms
Motivation can be described as inner or internal state that energizes, moves and activates
behaviours of workers towards specific aim of Fire Brigade Union. It is procedure that accounts
for an applicant intensity, persistence and direction of attempt towards attaining competitive
edge. It a key source that can apply with public service companies effectively by taking support
of management and leaders because they have ability to motivate people who work for them in
order to serve quality services to people or users on time, without consuming time which is not
acceptable (Itri and et.al., 2019). There are different form s of employee motivation are
accessible that manager or fire chief could use to enhance performance and productivity of its
fire men’s which is quite beneficial in term of increasing their ability and morale. For example,
by taking opinions from existing and new employees, manager can motivate those as it give
additional feeling to all of them about firm concern towards their important and valuable
suggestions.
It can be examined that relationship between motivation, reflection and organizational
behaviour put positive impact on performance of workers or fire fighters at workplace when
these forces implemented in systematic manner. All these terms influence positively for example,
leader can motivate all workers by conducting collaborative practices with them during service
requirement from service users who need their help and support in form of rescue life.
Furthermore, when public service companies like Fire Brigade Union respect and appraise the
hard work of its fire fighters it could impact on their performance positively and boost
motivational level as well (Ductoc, 2020). All forces work effectively and successfully when
management utilize these without any mistakes. For instance, without supporting and conducting
collaborative practices firm would not be able to motivate people and inspire them as it leads to
decrease productivity, performance and motivational level, which is not suitable for business
growth and success within public sector. Furthermore, leader should provide appropriate
suggestion that also play important role in term of boosting productive nature of workers in
workplace.

Organizational behaviour can define as study of individual and team performance as well
as act within Fire Brigade Union Organization. It examines human nature in a working
atmosphere and identified its impact up to performance, structure, motivation, communication
and leadership.
There are different methods & tools for reflective statement available that can use to
evaluate importance of organizational behaviour for performance of groups in public sectors. By
using Gibbs reflective as key tool overall concept can discuss below-
Description-
As an employee I recognize that organizational behaviour play important role in growth
and success of a worker because it help to increase productivity by providing facilities according
to needs of staff members and other individual as well.
Feeling-
While working in a company I feel that organizational behaviour is quite important as it
help to boost performance and productivity of workers even better, which is essential in term of
increasing operational efficiency even better.
Evaluation-
I have evaluated that management behaviour towards me and my team mates is very
positive as they support in daily work at workplace which increase my motivational and
performance level excellently and I feel that I can work for longer period.
Analysis-
I have recognize that organizational behaviour in my and other workers life play
significant role, but when it can could not apply it positive manner it can put negative impact on
my work which is not acceptable.
Conclusion-
It has been concluded that without conducting ethical practices and creating
organizational environment positive, I could work in effective manner and obtain desire
outcomes.
Action plan-
For further period, I will work every hard and set objective and aims that is appropriate
for public sector companies and its businesses as well.

CONCLUSION
By summing up above discussion, it has been summarized that organizational culture
within Fire Brigades Union who has work under public sector, has increased its workers
motivational and productivity level even better which in boost its brand image within market
place effectively. Furthermore, it has been identified that by following the central and local
government policies, organization and its fire-fighters has successfully served their services to
local people who lived in UK. By implementing effective management methods and approaches,
manager within chosen company has gained several benefits in term of serving on time services
to local people that help to rescue their lives. Moreover, it has been determined by creating
productive environment and adopting flexible behaviour firm effectively helped to enhance team
performance while operate in public industry.
