Introduction
In this report, there is a discussion about Understanding Company leadership within a view to
capturing the change. Globalisation is a term that refers to the whole economy and social
factors that are globally implemented through a significant relevance of the world. Without
globalisation, the Company cannot meet its opportunities and challenges shortly changes
particularly with its current scenarios (Balwant, 2018). Many Companies failed to establish
Company leadership within a change for the current situation of economic condition, legal
policies, political uncertainty. This report will elaborate on the different strategies and
processes to build up a strong leadership for the competitive world and make some change
within strong value to the customers.

TESCO Company Overview
TESCO is a British Multinational grocery company that is based on grocery products stall in
the UK. The owner of TESCO named Jack Cohen founded by 1919 on the west side of
London. The headquarter is situated in Hertfordshire, England. Initially, they sell grocery
products to the customers, and later they have a diverse category to sell into the UK and also
other continents. Most of the products added with TESCO are Software, electronics, books,
petroleum, Clothing, Decoration of furniture, toys, and mostly Internet service. TESCO is the
world's 3rd biggest retailing company for grocery products over the world. TESCO has now
over 450,000 employees currently work from different parts of the world. In terms of
globalisation, TESCO started to export its products into a newer market to capture value from
the customer and building a strong relationship with them (Boy et al, 2020). TESCO
company established customers prefer products because of getting customer's choices and
much profit for their business operation. TESCO brands products are now familiar with
different criteria because they ensure a better environment for their employees and at the
same time, they look for their employee’s problems and solved them.

TESCO plc is the largest British grocery Retailing company established in 1919 and the
Sports Direct International plc is established in 1982 in the UK based on the largest retailing
sports goods company. TESCO familiarly segment their goods in a category like foods,
clothing, books, technology products, electronics, financial service, and insurance support.
On the other hand, Sports Direct International plc is popular for its sports materials and
providing with a huge collection of brands for specifically sportswear, fitness accessories,
Lifestyle products with high-quality measurement. Both Companies faced some crucial
restrictions for developing sustainable leadership and potential opportunity for their
globalisation perspective of doing business (Brink, 2019).

Cultural Factors of Business
TESCO plc and Sports Direct plc have a strong cultural basement for doing their retailing
business in the UK especially. Most of the time, customers always pay attention to the
companies which are based on their cultural values (Kutsch, 2018). They respect their norms
and ethics strictly maintain selling groceries by TESCO plc and Sportswear by Sports Direct
International plc limited in the whole United Kingdom and following their prosperous future
market. To critically analysing the two biggest retailing companies, there should take
PESTEL analysis to make a reasonable difference between TESCO plc and Sports Direct
International plc and their strategies following their operational characteristics.
