INTRODUCTION
Human resource management refers to the function for managing employees and the
business environment (Armstrong and Taylor, 2020). It encourage workers to accomplish
objectives as well as goals of company which help organisation to gain competitive advantage in
market. This helps manager to determine the HR policies as it use the strategy to evaluate
process. In addition to this,, it helps to foster team building, measure the success of business
goals and keep company to follow the rules and regulation such as salary and other insurance
policies for labours. Rolls Royce is considered for this report. Rolls Royce is an luxury
automotive enterprise in United Kingdom. Number of employees working in this entity is 50000
in year 2020 and it is founded in year 1998. This report covers the role and intent of managing
human resources in order to support an organisation with expertise and experience to achieve
goals, advantages of different practices of employees along with employees, Internal as well as
external factors in relation to legislation and decision making.

Rolls Royce is a luxury automotive maker in Manchester, England, United Kingdom.
Earlier, Rolls Royce sell their high quality cars in London. This enterprise focused on propulsion
and powerful system of the cars. They provide upgraded, innovate and advanced technology
products and services to its customers along with the employees. Headquarters of Rolls Royce is
in Derby, England. The founder of this organisation is Charles Rolls and Henry Royce.
Currently, they are selling their products such as Dawn, Wraith, Phantom and Cullinan models in
UK. Rolls Royce's aim is to create the corporate world better control. However, vision statement
of Rolls Royce is to deliver the automotive equal of haute couture (Banfield, Kay and Royles,
2018).
Aim of Human resource function
The Aim of Human resource function is develop the performance of workers, selection of
appropriate candidate and build strong relationship with them. The main purpose of human
resource function are as follows:

Measure employees performance: This is the responsibilities of human resource to
identify the work performance of employees by using various tools and methods as it helps entity
to attain organisational objectives. Management of Rolls Royce use management by objectives to
boost the performance of employees as well as company which assist them to achieve overall
goals of business (Berman and et.al., 2019).
Recognition and engagement: This plays an essential role to motivate workers, improves
retention and boost morale of the labours. In context to Rolls Royce, recognition provide the
achievement of business which helps employees to inspire them to attain business objectives
which lead to growth in entity.
Function of human resource management
Recruitment and selection: . HR responsibilities to recruit and select the right person at
the right place. Manager of Rolls Royce focus to retain and attract talented and qualified workers
to attain the business objectives as well as the goals of an organisation
Compensation and benefits: In relation to Rolls Royce, the responsibility of human
resource is to provide attractive and effective compensation benefit to the workers such as health
benefits and retirement savings.

Training and development: This refers to the development of skills as well as the
knowledge of labours to perform task in an efficient manner. Administration of Rolls Royce
owns skilled development programme to boost the productivity and efficiency that lead to
development and growth of business.
Workforce planning: This signifies to analyse, determine and identify the demand and
supply to ensure that all things is going in the right direction which helps them to plan the future
requirement of employees (Brewster, Mayrhofer and Farndale, eds., 2018). Rolls Royce plan the
strategy to safeguard workers and support customers and communities.
