INTRODUCTION
Teaching plays a vital role in the life of students. It supports there process of learning and
development (Agergaard, 2018). In this report, there is discussion related to the purpose of
resources and their effectiveness in teaching. The principles of resource design and some theories
and models of curriculum design are important part of this report. Along with that, legal
requirements and implications of intellectual property rights and copyright for developing
resources is part of this report. The use of technology in developing the resources is also
discussed in the report. In the last part of this report, there is evaluation related to own strengths
and weakness that will help to develop CPD plan.
MAIN BODY
TASK A
1.1 explain the purpose of resources in teaching and learning.
There is key role of resources in teaching. They facilitate the teacher to make the students
study and learn in effective manner. It is necessary to use the resources that are appropriate for
learning of the students (Alderman, 2021). There is need to work by using all the resources in
proper manner so that the students are able to learn properly. The purpose of resources in
teaching and learning are as follows:
Accessibility: It helps the teachers to design their resources in such a manner. They
formulate all the strategies that help the learners from different background, learning
styles and abilities to understand effectively. It covers all the students so that they are
able to learn and retain knowledge in effective manner.
Inclusive: The another purpose is to respect the diversity of students. It helps the students
to learn together and use their full potential. The learning needs of the students can be
fulfilled in proper manner.
1.2 evaluate the effectiveness of specific resources from own specialist area in meeting
individual learning needs
There is need of certain resources that will help a teacher to train the students. Being a
sports teacher there is need of physical exercise equipments, material for physical games for
outdoor activity. They are effective as they enhance the personal experience of the students.
