INTRODUCTION
Work based learning is the strategy of learning and getting the experience or education
with the real-life experience where we can get help from academic as well as from the technical
skills. And also, this helps to develop their employability and helps in creating the various
opportunities, because this will help the person in enhancing their skills and also make them well
versed in the quality learning and also helps to gain knowledge related to various fields and make
them creative and problem-solving person, it helps to face any challenge regarding their personal
development as well as professional development. Also the personal development plan is the
way in which we can plan an action that is based on the awareness, values, and the goal setting
after these decisions the person is ready for the planning their personal development plan related
to the person career making, deciding their education qualifications as well as also decide the
way of their self-improvement, now in the context of Radisson Blu hotel, as a front office
manager we have to discuss about a personal development plan regarding the skills and
knowledge of the front office manager. Now, in respect of the hotel Radisson blue as everyone
knows that hotel Radisson Blu is the international chain of the hotels. The establishment year of
this hotel is the year 1960. Although, the name of the hotel came into existence in the year 2009
that is rebranding from the Radisson. This hotel found in the major cities like airport gateways
and some of the important destinations. The company began in Copenhagen, Denmark with the
launch of the world’s first designer hotel has grown up to span within the world they offer new
location every year and the first hotel opened in 1960, as well as the skills of the management
have brought from the various opportunities from dealing the challenge of the hotel Radisson
Blu, because as everyone know the hotel is the most prominent hotel within the world. So, for
handling the problem everyday manager have to deal with the several problems, this can enhance
the skills of the manager to deal with every challenges

As the personal development plan is a method in which a person uses to create blueprint
for their development of their personal skills, in which they represent their proficiencies and to
achieve their targets. A personal development also helps to achieve the goals and as well as
enhance the skills and competencies that will be helpful for the professional development, now

as an front office manager of the hotel Radisson blue I have to plan the personal development
plan for there are certain skills and abilities that are lacking for the position as the manager of the
front office and also needs to develop further. This test conducted will be a self-skill audit which
shows the bad, average, good and excellent (Bruni-Bossio and Delbaere, 2021). After the
evaluation this will be analysed that that there is lack in communication skills, time management,
and leadership skill as the hotel Radisson blue manger have to be proficient in these things. as
well as the work-based learning is related to the educational strategy that provides the students
the real-life experience where they can apply in their academics as well as also to improve their
technical skills. The work-based learning will help to merge the theories. Apart from this, will
give the direction to the career, employment getting skills, job success skills, path to the higher
education as well as gives the opportunity to develop the skills that is related to the leadership
and decision making. this also gives the several benefits to the businesses like provide the trained
workforce, higher quality of the employee and opportunities to give several benefits in return to
the community.
