INTRODUCTIONWorking with and leading people is an essential part of every enterprise. A leader shouldmanage and control all the people of the firm in effective manner. In an organisation, leading the people is the complex task sothat there are various people who does not agree with the terms and conditions of their leadersand it is not easy to understand for them (Alloway, Bibile and Lau, 2013). The report is based onUnited Parcel services (UPS) which is one of the largest courier firm and it is situated in UK.This will perform different role for supply chain management method. The main motive of thisreport is to developing major skills and abilities that is required when they are doing workingwith these people and help to lead them. It includes significance of selection, recruitment,retention of people within an organisation. TASK 11.1 Documentation of selection and recruitment processHuman resource management is one of the essential part of the company which help inmanaging and controlling all functions in proper manner. They works for achieving desired goalsand objectives for getting accurate outcome. UPS select only those candidates who haveexcellent skills, knowledge, creative skills, innovative abilities and technical skills etc. If theiremployees have these ability so that they can easily complete the target goals and objectives.UPS firm will face different type of issues and problems in their leadership, management andadministration systems (Arnold, Fletcher and Molyneux, 2012). This will badly impact oncompany work and by this reason CEO of the organization is also covering this situation. So thatfirm will recruit new employees who done their best work for accomplishing desired aims andobjectives. Documentation needed for selecting employees:Approval of Recruitment- An organisation seek to recruit employees for growth anddevelopment of the firm before this they required to take permission from HR managerof the company. When they are give approval then new candidates are giveninterviews, not any other member. 1

Human resourcemanager has responsibility for place suitable candidates at right position of thecompany. Advertisement- This document will be prepared for creating people awarenessregarding these offers which should be given in the Id of the organisation (Azhar,2011). HR manager are post the ad before taking permission of top management of thecompany. CV- This will includes all details about employees which are required for doingdocumentation such as name, address, qualification, candidates background, educationstatus and many other. After the completion of this, interviewer will get all the detailsregarding personal and professional of the employee. Job description- It is that document which is required at the time of conductingrecruitment process so that candidate will know all the information regarding job thatare offered by the firm to them. The company are mentioned all the qualities andcapabilities which they required in the candidate. 1.2 Effect of legal, regulatory and ethical to selection and recruitment processAt the time of recruiting employees, there are various norms and regulations whichshould be followed by the firm. UPS company HR manager plan to recruit candidates, he mustbe aware about these rules and laws which are made by company. In an organisation, employeesshould be aware about these rules then this will help in reducing the possibility of risk, interviewquestions, job posting etc. there are different types of rules and laws which mainly associatedwith the selection and recruitment that includes regulation act, Employment equality regulationact, sex discrimination act and many other (Bolman and Deal, 2014). Here are certain impacts oflegal, regulatory and ethical consideration which are discussed as follows:Age regulation Act- As per this act, young and old employees should get similar benefitby the organisation and they can not do any discrimination activities among them. Right to Employment Act- This act will help the HR manager for analyse the candidatebackground profile if they have any criminal record in past year. 2
