INTRODUCTIONManagement is the group of activity which influence management activity and thebusiness functions. Present report based on management which will going to present differentfunctions of the management in order to express the democratic, Laissez faire as well as otherstyles. Furthermore, it will also discuss about leadership characteristics in present report threeleadership style will going explain interpersonal skills, communication skills and honesty.Further apart, it will be discussing communication processes to ensure the proper work in themanagement. Management skills performance which helps manager to manage the workingprocess in more effective ways. Analyze the own personal SWOT in order to identify theeffective tool management. TASK 11.1 Define management and compare different management styles.Management styles is the most important process to handle all business function in order to achieve the management objectives. Management styles helps to take decision making processeach style having their own characteristics and pros & cons. There are some management style giving below:Autocratic style: in this management style manager take decision unilaterally, without taking the participation of other team members (Agrawal, Sharma and Malviya, 2017). This style reflect and change the opinion of the company members and give adverse effects on the behavior of employees. On the other sides, it helps manager to perform better well managed business, good confident personality. These kinds of managers give excellent supervision to the subordinates. On the other hand this autocratic managers no more create leaders and managers they are self centered which give negative impact on the employee moral.Merit: It creates new skilled managers who make decision making process.This style helps to make the environment managed and align business to business objectives.Demerit: Less participation of employees which lead to dissatisfaction. No more successful in terms of effective management (Caminero and et.al., 2015). Democratic style: it is the another style of management, in this style managers allows team members for participation and their contribution in decision making approach. Along with that, in this approach manager take everyone together in order to enhance the skills and knowledge of other leaders. This approach helps to create more managers in the company. This process helps to widespread communication where subordinates communicate with managers

vice-versa. This helps to give satisfaction level to the employees which helps in accomplishment of organization objectives. Merit: Create leadership approach and satisfaction level among employees and mangers.Proper communication level which help to flow necessary information. Demerit:Create mismanagement due to lack of misunderstanding among managers and employees(Campen, 2016).Laissez-Faire management style: this style of management helps to communicate horizontal as compare to other style it is a very small communication channel. In this style staff members are very creative and unique style. Merit: Proper communication flow between same level of staff.Better decision making process.Demerit:Lack of participation of top level management.Lack of flow of communication. 1.2 Discuss the leadership characteristics.Leadership is the kind of process in which individual leader approach employees for hisbetter performance (Drohan and et.al., 2017). Every business needs a good leader who givessupport to employees in order to make the effective working environment. Along with that, it isthe best effective process in order to hold the business activities. There are three characteristicsof leadership which defines the importance of leadership.Good communication skills: until unless if communication process is not clear, visionor mission of the company is not clear. It gives lack of improper results. Besides, a good leaderalways having this quality which removes communication barriers. Good communicator havepower to motivate employees and make the best productive source.Interpersonal skills: interpersonal skills are comes from the background knowledgefrom good education and experience. Good leaders be always a good learner which makesenvironment positive in the business (Dunford, and et.al., 2017). For example Hilton Hotelleaders are the well skilled and knowledgeable which adopt different innovative environment inthe atmosphere. A good leaders having interpersonal skills through which they make customershappy and satisfied. Honesty: the supreme quality of leadership is honesty which makes Hilton Hotel moreprecious and attractive. Customers loved top visit Hotel Hilton because their management staff iswell honest with the customers (Ilieva and Karaatanassov, VMware Inc, 2016).
