Strength – According to the SWOT analysis of the process of Distance learning there are
several strengths present in the field of education while comparing this which other teaching
procedures. There is no demographical limitation of learning since this process is a location
independent application. Along with this there is no limitation of physical boundary thus, the
student can access the facility from anywhere anytime. This study procedure also include the
facility of employ teaching method by which there is no limitation of student age or category.
Along with the above strengths these courses are more affordable as this cost less compared
to the others.
Weakness – Followed by the conducted SWOT analysis along with the strengths there is a
significant range of weakness present in the process of Distance learning. Since, this
procedure has less physical contacts hence, most of the industries and universities treated the
distance mode student with less priority. As per the analysis since, the user should perform
the practical in their own system is it difficult to perform it efficiently as there will be
problem regarding system version and capability. Along with these weakness there is a major
drawback regarding project monitoring and supervision.
Opportunity – Followed by the SWOT analysis several opportunities of Distance learning
has been observed such as due to wide range of accessibility the effective interaction between
the students across the world is possible as well as there is a high advantage for employed
students since, distance education offers location independent learning facility along with this
the offered courses are most of the time based on top trending topics.
Threats – According to the investigation there are few significant threats present in Distance
learning. As per the above discussion since there is a problem regarding supervision thus, the
developed projects are most of the time treated with less importance. Along with this there is
a high chance of facing problems while performing any practical task.

Recommendation to mitigate the threat factors of Distance Learning –
In order to reduce the threats related to Distance learning the organization needs to
understand the student needs and work accordingly. The tutor should always work on
standard system which has the high possibility to get accessed by the students. Along with
these factors the government should set desired rules in order to provide the rights to the
distance mode students. By providing the effective tutor contact process some of the
problems related to the teachers availability can be resolved.

demands high quality service with less payment. This force can affect the profit and quality
of any distance education organization. Since, DMU’s has offers less expensive courses the
chance of the occurring this force is low.
Competitive rivalry – This threat is about the competition present in the market which is
providing the services similar to the DMU. This force can affect the market position of
DMU’s distance learning procedure. Since, DMU is one of the popular university in UK the
possibility of getting replaced by any other university in low.
Threat of new entrance – However, this force is about the new organizations who is
providing the similar services to the client trying to get establish in the market. The
possibility of getting affected by new entrance is low as DMU has a great popularity and
impact on the UK’s population.

Bargaining power of supplier – This this case the demands of suppliers has been discussed
as most of the suppliers wants to provide low quality of service with highest payment. This
force can affect the market position of any distance learning organization. As DMU is
offering less expensive course the chances of increasing the course rate cannot be avoided.

Threat of Substitution – Threat of being substituted by any other university is low as there
