INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills are important for an individual to become an employee. It definesthe best knowledge which develops skills and abilities in order to make them employable in anorganization. Skills are important that can provide employment to an individuals is calledemployability skills. In organization, manager hires the best person who have best ability andknowledge to perform well so that they can attain best result(Jones and Iredale, 2010). Presentreport is based on Travelodge hotels limited which operate in the hospitality industry of UnitedKingdom. This file will discuss about the manager’s roles and responsibilities to attainorganizational objectives in an appropriate manner. The work based problems and their solutionswill also be studied here. Along with that, effective time management strategies will be stated toattain success in the marketplace. Further, various tools and methods which are used fordevelopment situation is define in this report (Chan Keller, S.2011).TASK 11.1 Set of own responsibilities and performance objectivesManager duty is based on the structure of hotel. Travelodge sets their budget hotelswhich provide best service to their customers. They set various departments such as reception,accommodation etc. It is manager’s responsibility to provide high quality services in order toinvite a large number of customers. Manager makes the best strategies in their business activitiesto attain goals and objectives in an appropriate manner. Being the manager in Travelodge hotel, Iwill evaluate of all the workers performance and find various way to motivate their staff who allare perform best manner regarding their job. I have to enhance their confidence level and skillswhich are beneficial for employee and employer. There are some important roles andresponsibilities of manager:Performance appraisal: It is the main responsibility of manager in every organization tomake performance appraisal of employees. It is the main duty of manager to evaluateemployee’s performance on regular basis and give feedback. It helps in improving theirperformance and gain confidence to attain the best result. Manager of company provideseffective guidance to its employees in order to improve their performance. It is aneffective process to evaluate and improve employee’s performance in the businessorganization so that they can attain the set results in an effective manner.1

Disciplining employees: Manager put their best efforts to maintain discipline in theworking environment. They also give their best to influence employees to work withdiscipline. If all employees would perform their tasks with discipline then company canattain the best results and improve their performance level in an effective manner.Employee engagement: It is one of the important responsibilities of manager of companyto keep employees engaged. It defines the relationship between business organization andemployees. Manager creates and provides positive environment which will motive andencourage to the employees to attain goals and objectives of the company.Performance related pay: This process is based on employee’s performance. It is relatedto pay system which is set by the manager that will motivate employees to put their bestefforts and perform work with effectiveness. This assists in attaining the success atworkplace.Motivate employees: It is the main responsibility of manager that they motivate theiremployees to perform well and achieve better objectives in an effectual manner. Managerof company uses the best and effective tools and techniques to encourage employees inorder to perform better in organization. Without motivation, employees can’t performtheir assigned tasks in the desired way.In other hand there are some objectives of a manager with helps for organization in orderto get success:Consistency Maximization of profitsagonistic benefit1.2 Own effectiveness against defined objectivesAchieve consistency is the main objective of Travelodge manager. It helps in businessoperations, maximisation of profits and get competitive advantage in effective manner. With thehelp of successful workforce, Travelodge attain best goals and objectives. As a manager I willimprove my own skills so that I can solve any obstacles without issues. Best communicationskills assist me that I can easily communicate with foreign customers which helps in attainingbest result by them and increase hotel performance at marketplace. As a manager I will hireeducated and able employees who all are done their work effectively. They helps in company nattaining goals and objectives in appropriate time period.
