INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills includes set of skills, behaviour and knowledge which are necessaryfor performing a specific job. It can also be known as soft or foundational skills. Companyshould hire best qualified employees so that they can perform in more effective and efficientmanner and can also contribute in the success of business. For getting positive result,organisation should provide training to their staff so that they will become best for performingtheir specific job and will also drive the firm into right direction of success. In today competitiveenvironment, company is spending their lots of time in employee development so that it can beable to achieve competitive advantages over its rivals. This project is based on Travel LodgeHotels Limited, which is a leading independent hospitality company in the United Kingdom.This report will explain about roles and responsibility of a manger which will be aligned withobjectives of firm. It will also state about various work based problem and time managementstrategies which will assist employees in managing their work effectively and efficiently. TASK 11.1 Set of own responsibilities and performance objectivesIn organisation, every manager and employee have some duties that should be fulfilled bythem timely so that company can attain its desired results. Travelodge hotel is known for itshigh-quality services which it provides to consumers at affordable prices. In organisation, thereare various departments such as catering, finance, accommodation, front office, etc. for whichmanagers are totally responsible as they have to ensure that whether all sections are performingaccording to the specific standards or not. Also, they are required to check if employees arecompleting their task within stipulated period of time so that objectives can be achieved inproper manner. Being the manager of Travelodge Hotel, I have to fulfilled variousresponsibilities such as:RESPONSIBILITIESFacilities: I have to ensure that whether services or facilities are provided to theconsumers in a proper manner and according to the quality standards or not. If employeesare not serving accordingly, then I need to take corrective actions. I will organizeevaluation process in which performance of staff will be evaluated.1

Performance evaluation: Being the manager, I have to evaluate performance of workersso that performance gaps can be identified and removed. Proper information: To provide necessary information to Human Resource departmentregarding employee’s performance and their effectiveness. For improvement in his activities, manager has to set certain objectives regardingperformance which are given as below: PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVESTo identify the needs or wants of consumers so that they can be served effectively andefficiently and will be able to satisfy the needs or wants of consumers. If manager willhave knowledge about the requirement of target market then he can give this informationto the company so that they can design their goods or services accordingly so that it cancapture large market share.To improve own performance by 60% which can be possible from various ways such asto take suggestion of senior manager regarding any issues in the job, take feedbacksabout own performance from colleagues or subordinates.To handle consumers complaints and provide appropriate solutions to them as soon aspossible so that they will remain in the company for long period of time. If consumerswill be satisfied then they will spread positive word of mouth in the society which willaid in increasing company' sales and revenue.If Travelodge hotel wants to evaluate the performance of manager then it can ask to hissubordinates who will tell about his behaviour as well as his performance. For evaluatingperformance, annual report of company can also be used which will involve theinformation of performance of manager.1.2 Evaluation of my effectiveness against defined objectivesPerformance objectives aid in achieving the desired goals and objectives as it providesdirection to an individual with respect to perform his job effectively and efficiently. Foranalysing own performance, manager should evaluate his performance against the targets that areset by him. That position which are held by me, should require various skills and knowledgesuch as communication, quick decision-making ability etcetera.2
