INTRODUCTIONEmployee relations refers to the company's efforts to manage relationships betweenemployees and employers in the organisation. This creates a positive environment and motivatesstaff to be dedicated towards their work in order to achieve organisational goals. In this reportchosen organisation is Food for Thought. It is a vegetarian and a vegan restaurant located atSeven Dials district in London, (UK). This assignment includes various topics such as variousmechanisms for managing employment relationship and analysis of different types of rights,duties and obligations an employer and employee has within the respective organisation. Alongwith this it also includes stakeholders role to support employment relationship and advantage anddisadvantage of employees relationship.TASK 1P1 Explain the value and importance of employee relations in application to specificorganisational examples. Employee Relations refers to the efforts of the company to manage and develop properrelationship between employers and employees at respective organisation. Their should be fairtreatment of employees which motivates them to perform effectively and achieve organisationalgoals. In every organisation employee relations is the most important as it leads to proper andsuccessful operations of business. Management should maintain effective and healthyrelationship between employee and employer in order to enhance moral of employees which inturn increases productivity of organisation (Frone and Trinidad, 2012). Food for thoughtconducts strong employee relations through which they are able to avoid conflicts among theemployees and maintains a healthy atmosphere in the organisation. As the respectiveorganisation is a restaurant, manager should conduct fair treatment among employees so thatthey becomes loyal and work effectively towards the organisation and increase its productivity.In order to maintain effective relationships among employees, respective organisation shouldconduct various activities such as -

Appreciate the employees for good performance- When the employees are rewardedfor high performance, it makes them motivated to perform better as well as maintainsgood relationships with other employees in the respective organisation. Encourage work life balance- Respective organisation should make balance betweenthe work allocated to perform as well as time for other aspects of life. This would reduceconflict among the employees and maintain effective relations in the organisation.Communicate clear vision and mission statement to the staff- Employees should bewell aware with vision and mission of respective organisation. This would allow to themto behave and work properly and maintains proper relationship among employees.Importance of employee relationsFood for Thought should maintain effective employee relations in order tov gain benefitout of this. It is described as follows-Effective employee relations increase moral of the individual to perform effectively andachieves organisational goals. Effective relations among the employee creates a positive work place environment andmake the employees work happily and productively.It reduces the problem of absenteeism at the work place and maintains profitability oforganisation.It avoids conflict among the individuals and therefore makes them motivated to performeffectively.Their are various solutions to make effective relations among the employees in context ofspecific organisational example-For enhancing productivity in Food For Thought- In order to enhance productivity,effective employee relation among the employees should be maintained. This increasesthe motivation and the satisfaction level of employees which makes them dedicatedtowards their work and increases productivity. Employees of the respective organisationfeels happy and satisfied and treat their customer's well, thereby increasing productivityand goodwill of the company (García‐Cabrera and García‐Barba Hernández, 2014.).Avoid problem and Reduce conflicts- In order to reduce conflict at work place,respective organisation should maintain positive and friendly environment at the workplace.
