INTRODUCTIONManager is a individual person who create organisation's objectives and future goal toprovide higher success of their business in competitive world. Developing manager is a processin which individual enhance their own skills to manage operational and functional activity offirm to achieve future objectives easily. Responsibility of a manager is classified into variousareas like build appropriate plan and objective, organising, monitoring, controlling, training anddevelopment for employees etc.. this project report is based on different organisation's as in firsttask a specific information is collected for Hilton hotel which was founded in the year of 1919 byConrad Hilton and Marriott hotel which was founded in the year of 1927. These both hotel havelarge hotel chain in worldwide (Abrahamsson, 2017). This report includes various managementstyle, leadership characteristic as well as communication process and impact of change onorganisation. Second and third task is based on Clayton Crown hotel a brand of Dalata hotelgroup and Frankle & Benny's restaurant. For this report is include own potential and prospectiveof manager and various managerial skill in the business organisation context. TASK 11.1 Different management styleHospitality is a fast growing industry which has a major impact on people and economygrowth. This is a services industry which provides their effective offers to their customers tofulfil their need and demand. These type of industries are fast growing through luxurious service,quality products and cost or standard rate which is decided by their manager to get competitiveadvantages from market. So for them, it is very important that their management is goingthrough proper style to landscape organisation's structure in worldwide. There are variousmanagement styles are given below such as - Coercive management style: These kind of management style is accepted in thoseorganisation's which leads higher turnovers. In this management style, manager make their fullcontrol on employees and organisational activities. It is a directive leadership style in whichemployees working under pressure and they only follow direction of their manager (Allen,2012). Active management style: These kind of management style if effective for all type ofbusiness organisation because in this manager provides specific space to their employees to1
provide their effective services easily. In it, manager is only provides proper guideline anddirection to workforce and after that its staff build their own strategy to fulfil manager andorganisation's need. These two different management style is make a specific comparison in two different hospitalityindustries context such as- Marriott HotelHilton hotelIn this Hotel, supervisors and managerare denoting direction to their employeehence, workers needs to wait until theywill get command form their manager. They are following coercivemanagement style which is known asdirective styles. In Hilton hotel, manager are providingsupport to their employees to improveworking skills and satisfying them. This hotel industry is following activemanagement style to get effectiveservices of employees and providingthem full space of working.1.2 Leadership CharacteristicLeadership is a quality that helps to provide effective direction and guideline toemployees of a organisation. Hilton and Marriott are two largest hospitality industry who havelargest chain in worldwide. These both hotel hostel industry adopt different leadership style tomotivate workforce and get desired objectives easily.
