INTRODUCTIONManaging human resource refers to the role performed by the manager for the employeedevelopment. This also includes the task like allocating work, managing resources, providingdirection, goals and vision, creating healthy and positive environment, providing motivation,monitoring employee performance, linking employees and management, establishing workethics, listing to issues of employee and many more. Such tasks are very necessary in health andsocial care (Stone, 2013). This department is developing rapidly and has vast structure in theindustries. The most important is the quality and services which are being provided to thepatients and public. The quality in health and care services are being taken care and isconsidered to be the primary motive. Consistent delivery and high quality services are the mainquality services which must be provided to an individual in this industry. Quality in this industryis being governed by the external bodies and care quality Commission. For the best services andbetter heath care the recruitment process plays a great role. HR recruit only those people whohave the best skills, full dedication in heath and quality care. Moreover, their quality are beingmonitored and organization makes sure that their skills stay with them. All such tasks arecompleted by the HR in scrutinised way, along with monitoring which helps them to maintainthe quality in this business areas. Moreover, there is major role of ethics and integrity which isnecessary part of firm. This report evaluates managing HR in health and social care firms. Tounderstand more effectively Churchill Residential Home Care is taken where role of HR is beingdiscussed. Main objective of the firm is to get different types of staff which can be represented tovarious societies. For this, firm is trying to reach new recruits and candidates which canrepresent the organization to society in the country. The report contains various aspects whichare necessary during and after the recruitment process by HR. TASK 1 (1.1, 1.3)Recruitment and selectionRecruitment and planning are required in the organization as there is demand of talented,hard-working and motivated man power in the organization. The main objective of therecruitments process is to get proper effective, efficient and quality of workers which can helpthe firm to achieve their goals and objectives. Recruitment is done for the selection of eligiblecandidates at right place-time. Being a part of the Churchill Residential Home Care, recruitmentand selection are very necessary so that operational function in the organisation can be easily1

maintained ( Varma and Budhwar, 2013). For this purpose I need to make plan, develop strategyand make reliable research. After all this I need to develop those identified skills which arerequired in future by the candidate. In order to make the recruitment and selection process I needto identify the places /position where new applicants and number of candidates required. Therecruitment process needs to be adoptive, cost effective, flexible and responsive enough withinthe time limit along with this it should fulfil the immediate demands of the firm. The selectionprocedure is little challenging as there are various measures which needs to be developed andmeasured. In health and social care at home their communication skills, ethics, decision makingability, punctuality is measured. Moreover, they should be able to produce, maintain andevaluate the data in health and social care. At last, through their knowledge and data analysisthey must be able to handle the situation in health and social care. The pay scale, grade, date ofjoining and other specific condition must known to me. After all the planning and strategiesmade for the recruitment, then advertisement and vacancies are posted on the news papers, T.V.and internet. Through the advertisement, the required qualification, experience, ability and postis mentioned. Furthermore details like pay-salary, working time and specified condition can alsobe mentioned. By this procedure the interested student who qualify those ability are allowed forthe next stage of interview. After that screening is done and at last the evaluation is done for theeffectiveness and control plays crucial part. At the beginning the procedure the invitation letter was send by me which includes thedetails like post, position, pay scale, qualification, experience, working time and ability required.Job profile required for the position of housing officer ( they are required by the local authorityor for housing association.SET 1 JOB DESCRIPTION2

Through the above, job description few candidates have applied from which 4 CV havebeen selected as they were more qualified and had more experience than others. After whichfollowing invitation were send to four students, 2 for the interviewing and 2 are invited forinterview ( Ketchen Jr and et.al., 2017). The mention 4 students have already send theirinvitation letter to the company and following mail was send to them regarding the invitation.Following was one the Cover letter and CV received by me from the candidates which I selectedfor the interview.
