TASK 1
Analyse the impact of organisational objectives, values and culture on the leadership and management
role
The impact of organisational objectives, values and culture on the leadership and management
role are as been analysed. Asda deals with the products like grocery, general merchandise and financial
services. It is a core supermarket retail format which offers number of products and services. The
business firm also has mobile company which uses the existing network of EE. The objectives, values
and culture are interconnected to each other. If the objectives will get fulfil then, organisational values

their customers. For example, to give affordable goods and services, the manager can achieve this
objective through reducing the packaging of the products and by this, they can achieve their goals. This
can be done through the manager which will intends to increase the amount of fresh products which
should now sold loose without any boxes (Anderson and Anderson, 2010). This will give positive
impact on the consumers because they are getting fresh products. It also helps the organisation to
invest less on the packaging material.
Asda's values constitutes the respect for the individual which can be customers or workforce,
seeking for the excellence and giving better service to their customers. The impact of the
organizational values on the leadership and management role are to ensure that at every level in the
firm, employees and departments can make the effective planning of the decisions (Marquis, B.L. and
Huston, 2009). For this, the company has taken initiatives to start a program which is the 25 hour
induction programme which is known as “Best Welcome”. In which business enterprise will values the
customers and employees ideas and opinions to share with their managers to improve their products'
productivity. Asda's culture defines the behaviour of their employees and customers within the
organization. The company is a conscience and faithful in doing right things to the customers,
workforce etc. The business entity of Asda states that loyalty is the main aspect of this organization and
whole business of Asda believes this. However, the culture plays an vital role in the good working
environment within an organization which will further helps the workforce to work impressively and
effectively (Finkelstein, 2009). The chosen company believes that every decision of employees makes
the influence in the organizational culture.
To achieve this culture in the firm, the Manager can provide good quality service to their
customers and value every individual of the business enterprise. In communicating duties as well as
responsibilities or for promoting ethical morals among the workforce, Asda need cooperative culture
which can influence their employees work behaviour. To accomplished this, Asda should be bound up
with its workforce and should provide justice at work (Voon and Ayob., 2011). The company can give
opportunity to all their workers and employees. To increase their customers base, firm can make
products and services accordingly to the needs, tastes, preferences, lifestyles and requirements of the
customers. The workforce should respect their customers and if this follows effectively, then there will
be a positive impact on the management as well as leader. This is because the main objectives of the
organization is already fulfilling that is, the market share is expanding, customers base is increasing
and profitability of the Asda is rising (Edwards and Watts, 2010). The organizational ethical values and
cooperative culture will also impact leaders as well as management in performing the work and tasks in
