INTRODUCTIONPersonal leadership is define as the power as well as tendency to clear thinking in order toestablish a particular direction and goal in life (Aggarwal and Goodell, 2014). It also includescourage, choice, as well as commitment to move on a path by taking commitment anddetermined action in order to accomplish goals. This report is based on Vodafone companywhich is a public limited company in telecommunication industry. Along with this, itsheadquarter is located in London, Newbury, Berkshire and England. This company server theircustomers across the globe and it was founded by Ernest Harrison and Gerry Whent in 1991. inaddition to this, respective company has approx 98000 employees in its organisation who dealwith their customers in order to provide them best facilities. This report is based on leadershipand management skills that are adopted in order to achieve organisational goals and objectives.Along with this, with the help of PDP plan, personal skills are evaluated which a companyrequire in their employees.TASK 1Impact of organisational objectives, values and culture on the leadership and management roleOrganisational objectives, values as well culture have a great impact on leadership andmanagement role because they play an important role in achieving organisational goals andobjectives (Apostu, 2013). The influence of leadership and management role is described below:Leadership Role:Motivation to employees: The main role of a leader is to their workers happy andsatisfied. This keeps them motivated and their put more efforts to achieve goals andobjective of a company. In respect of Vodafone company, leaders of this firm, indulgetheir employee in decision making which force their employees to come out of theircomfort zone. Along with this, by sharing views and opinions employees will feelmotivated as well as they will also build confidence in them. This will create strong bondbetween leader and staff.Strategy: Another role of a leader to make effective strategy that will benefitorganisation to achieve their targets. In context of Vodafone, leaders of respectiveorganisation plan effective strategy which will help workers to communicate with their

customers effectively. Along with this, it will also assist company to achieve their targetswithin given time period.Required at all levels: Leaders are an important asset of an organisation and required atall level of management in order to guide and direct employees to achieve goals ofcompany (Bush, 2014). As per Vodafone, there are leaders at all levels of managementthrough which employees can discuss their queries with them. In addition to this, leaderswill be able to determine strength and weakness of employees which will help them indelegating roles and responsibilities to these workers.Therefore, role of leader is important for an organisation as well as every company needsa leader who can guide as well direct their employees the path in order to accomplish firms goalsand objectives.Management Role:Recruitment and Selection: The major role of management in an organisation is to hiretalented as well as skilled employees who will contribute their efforts to attain companyobjective (Chisholm-Burns, Vaillancourt and Shepherd, 2012). In terms of Vodafone,management of respective organisation hire those candidates who have goodcommunication skills so that they can effectively communicate with their customers. Inaddition to this, they also recruit such candidates with well skilled and knowledge whocan perform organisation functions as well as day to day operations in proper manner.Training and Development: Another major role of management is to provide effectivetraining and development to their new as well existing employees which will enhancetheir skills and abilities. In respect of Vodafone, management of company provide theirstaff training and development programme which will enhance their personality as wellas will also improve their communication skills. Effective Communication: Management of any company must has good communicationskills in order to communicate confidently with their respective client. In context ofVodafone company, management have good communication skills through which theyare able to train their subordinates which will enhance their skills and well as theirabilities.Maintain organisational structure: For growth and development of a company, its theduty of manager to maintain organisational structure of their organisation which will help
