INTRODUCTIONManagement is activity of acquiring person together to achieve coveted objectivesutilizing available resources effectively and expeditiously. It is also determined human activityinvolve plan, to help production to multi-purpose result from system. This position openspossibility to manage and pre-requisite to contribute to manage other. There are three conceptssuch as work management, controlling of person and operation of organization. The aim ofmanagement is to give customers for increasing profits(Combe, 2014). It involves differentaction of setting policies and coordinating attempt of its workers to achieve its goals byavailability of different resources such as financial, natural, technological and human resourcesin company. There are mainly five functions of management such as planning, organizing,directing, controlling and staffing. This study is based Imperial hotel. It is well knowninternational brand of 4 star hotel chains. They provide services to international business andtourists guest who have expected highly standards services. In this case study, company facesproblem of ineffective leadership and management by early head of department and supervisorystaff that involve poor monitoring and controlling of procedures. This report will analysismanagement theory and procedure of effective management. It will also give suggestion forresolution of problems in company. ANALYSIS OF THE INDIVIDUAL PROBLEM The Imperial hotel is well known London based international brand of 4 star hotel chainswhich is situated in heart of London's West End. They mainly give services to internationalbusiness and tourist guest who have expected highly standards services. But in recent year,organization faces many problems such as poor guest satisfaction, high staff turnover of 80% ofstaff leaved hotel, high levels of sick leave and poor attendance by negative work culture, poorteam work in front office as well as back office, inefficient utilize of IT system, ineffectiveleadership and management, poor monitoring and controlling procedures in company(Albert andBeatty, 2014).In this context, Imperial hotel take decisions in terms of solution of ineffective leadershipand management by past department head and supervisory that involving lack of monitoring andcontrolling of process of company. There are many causes that happen in ineffective leadershipand management such as poor communication, lack of collaboration, failing of monitoring andcontrolling for housekeeping, kitchens staff and reception of hotel.
