INTRODUCTION
It is very essential in an organization to have a well managed workforce so that the
objectives of the organization can be met from time to time. This factor is going to help the
organization have a higher profit margins and strong reputation in the market. National Health
Service is non profitable organization which is functioning to make the patient’s life be improved
and healthy. There are more than 1.4 million employees who have volunteered to work with this
organization. The report is going to consist of operational context, theories and recommendations
for leadership and management, training and development and talent management in the
organization.
Leadership and management
The organization is not being able to have a strong leadership in the organization which is
a big disadvantage for the company. The leaders get in a better sense of direction in the
organization but the behaviour of the leaders in the organization is not good which is why the
organization is not being able to function effectively. Leaders and managers play a very
important role in a company which is that the managers after consulting the leader have to make
decisions for the organization so that the objectives and aims of the company can be met on time.
It is very important for National Health Service to achieve their goals so that there is a better
functioning of the company (Hayes, 2018). The leaders of the organization are not being able to
handle so many employees and there is a cultural difference also which is making the operations
and productivity of the employees reduce in NHS which has to be maintained because the
organization cannot make errors. The health is in the hands of the organization which is why it is
very important that the organization is giving their best in the organization.
The leaders of the organization will have to use path goal theory to make the organization
have a better target achieving in the market. This is a very important factor for the company so
that the organization can have a better functioning. Leaders have to make sure that the employees
who are working with NHS are giving their best and are motivated for providing the patients
with the best of experience (Pearce, 2019). There is a lot of comfort and trust level which the
customers must receive so that the organization can have a larger customer base for them in the
market. There is a democratic style which is being used by NHS but it is very important to listen
to the employees of the organization as well so that there is a better functioning of the

organization so that the goals can be achieved. The managers will also have to take feedbacks
and interact with the customers directly so that they can understand the needs and demands of the
patients which are coming in NHS (Mulcahy and Nelson, 2018).
The managers and leaders will have to use their past experience in this field and make the
employees give their best in this because the customers should get a healthier life. The services
which are being provided are very low cost which is a great factor for the company which is
going to help the organization get a larger market share and a larger customer base which is
going to help the organization to expand themselves in other countries. The leaders will have to
change their methods to deal with the employees in the organization because the employees
cannot work for such low wages and think for the benefit of the others (Guanci and Bjork, 2019).
The employees have to be reminded the objectives and goals of the organization form time to
time so that there is a better functioning of the organization. There has to be good skills and
knowledge in the leaders and managers so that there are right decisions which can be taken in the
organization so that the organization will be able to function effectively and efficiently. NHS has
got an experience in the industry but has expanded itself in a lot of countries which is why it is
very important for the organization to have better planning and strategies needs to be used in the
organization so that there is a better functioning (Wong and Liaw, 2018).
Training and development
There have to be no errors in this organization and mistakes have to be minimum which
is why it is very important for the company to get in experienced leaders and managers so that
the processing in the organization can be smoother. The new employees of the organization are
being focused upon so that there is a better functioning and the problems in the internal
environment can be solved which is going to make the organization have a better functioning for
themselves. There is a lot of experience which NHS is having in the market which is why it is
very easy for the company to have a better functioning and the organization will be able to stay
stable (Schoorl and et.al., 2017). The training and development department in NHS is not as
strong as it should be so that the organization can hire and train the employees which is going to
make a sense of direction come in the organization and the objectives will be shared easily in the
company. There are a lot of communication gaps as well which needs to be informed to all and
there are technological changes as well which are taking place which is why it is very important

for the company to be able to make the employees get the right training so that they can use the
technological changes effectively in the company (Williams and Caley, 2020).
There are a lot of patients which trust the company and it is very important that the
organization is being able to match to that. There are a lot of changes which NHS has in the
company so that they can make the customers get satisfied and make them visit again. NHS is
providing the health facilities at a low cost which is why it is very important for the company to
have a stable functioning for themselves. The productivity and services of the organization can
not fall which is why training and development is a very essential factor by the company which
is going to make the company have a better functioning (Wangwacharakul, Berglund and Harlin,
2020). Leaders have to try to create a bond and a professional relationship with the employees so
that the training and development can take place effectively in NHS because there are
professionals working who do not want to change their ways of treating the patients which is
why it is very important for the company to have. The old employees do not want to change and
the new employees can help the organization to improve and provide the best to the patients
which is a very important factor (Wilton, 2016).
The leaders and managers of NHS of the organization will have to focus on the
employees which are being hired because the objectives are not clear with the new employees
which are why it is very important for the company to get in changes accordingly. The
organization will have to use their knowledge and skill to understand the employees and the kind
of help which is required by them so that the organization can get a better functioning and a
better reputation of themselves in the market. It is very important for the company to get a high
reputation for themselves which is going to make the organization have a strong brand image in
the market (Pheng, 2018). The behaviour of the employees have to be understood because
changes do not come in so easily in the organization which is why it is very important for the
company to have a better strategy for themselves.
Talent management
There are a lot of decisions which are being taken in an organization so that there is a
better functioning which is why the organization needs to make practical management in the
organization. There is a lot of talent which the employees have in the organization which needs
to be managed well so that there is a better functioning. The goals and targets in market have to

be met by NHS which is why using this factor is going to be good for a long run of the
organization in the market (Brown and Tolson, 2020). Current the organization is so focused on
the patients who are coming in the organization that the company is not being able to see the
employee’s hard work in the organization which is a great disadvantage for the organization. The
operations of the organization is not that effective in the present market because there are a lot of
private hospitals which have opened and the patients prefer that since there is a higher service
and comfort in that health care. NHS is also improving daily so that they can get that kind of
trust from the patients which are coming in the organization so that they can have a better
functioning for themselves.
The strategies of talent management are based on the objectives, goals, mission, vision,
etc of the company so that there is a better functioning. There are a lot of employees which are
well trained in their own fields and if the organization needs the best of results then they will
have to make sure that the employees are being given the work they excel in so that the best can
be given to the patients (Walton and Dettwiler, 2019). Employees have to show their interest in
the organization and have to be motivated enough that they keep doing so for a long run which is
going to be monitored by the leaders and managers and those employees are motivated in the
organization so that patients get the best. NHS is not working to get higher profit margins but
enough to pay the employees and function smoothly by providing the patients with the best of
services at a very reasonable price. The organization is making the patients aware of the changes
which are taking place in the organization from time to time and the trust level has to be worked
upon by the organization so that there is a better functioning.
The leaders have to know how to make the balance in the organization of talent of the
employees. The human resource has to hire the right people in the organization so that there is a
better functioning of the organization so that the company can have a better reputation. The
distribution of work is also going to be easier for the company because of the knowledge and
skills which the leaders and the managers have in the organization. The leaders have to make
sure that the employees which are working in the organization have a better functioning and have
been allot fairly their work in the organization so that the internal environment of the
organization can be maintained which is a very essential factor for company (Alsmadi and et.al.,
2018). The leaders have to know the employees well that what duties will the employees be able

to handle and what are those duties which they will not be able to handle so that there is the best
functioning.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that there is a need for the organization to have
a strong workforce and a well managed theories which can be applied in the organization so that
there is a better functioning. The organization will have to provide the employees with proper
motivation so that the patients can trust in this organization which is going to make more
customers come in this company to get them treated. The organizations will have to get in
changes according to the employees and customers needs and demands so that the organization
can function effectively in the market.
