INTRODUCTION
The main focus of hospitality industry is to fulfil the wants of consumers and attract them
towards the corporation. It involves restaurants & restaurants which mainly emphasis to improve
the quality of product and service. In this report Crowne Plaza hotel has chosen which is a part of
IGH group. There are following topics are covered in present report such as: key roles of house
keeping department, importance of scheduling maintenance in premises and importance of
security within in the organisation.

The housekeeping department perform various roles which are mention below:
Housekeeping department: In the hotel housekeeping department is responsible for
cleanliness so that guest can feel better and nice when they visit the hotel. This department
emphasis to fulfil the demands of guests by providing clean & attract room, required amenities
etc. This division perform different roles which are as:
High standard of cleanliness: For an organisation it is essential to provide clean and
safe premises so that consumer feel comfortable and happy. So manager of Cornish Resort
ensure that premises and room of hotel is clean. Clean environment brings the positivity and
consumers feel pleasant as a result they will prefer to visit this hotel.
Control & supervision: The manager of Cornish Resort can arrange training session for
its employees who work in housekeeping department & it make control by supervision as a
result all workers work effectively so that desires of consumers can be satisfy.
Strong welcome: The staffs of housekeeping department must welcome the guest who
visit Cornish Resort as a result consumers feel happy.
Maintaining safety & security: The housekeeping department ensure the safety and
security of guest who visit Cornish Resort. It is responsible to check all fire fighting tools &
equipments as well as emergency alarm make sure that these are working well.
Work for 24*7: To fulfil the demands of consumers housekeeping department work for
24*7 as a result guest can feel safe, secure and happy.

As per the specified scenario, the management of Crowne Plaza can provide training to
the staffs so that new business can run successfully. For that purpose, they set a training suite
that involves few features in which one is, in room facilities. Apart from this there are distinct
facilities which are also provided like: bedroom area with a bed, guest & lines supplies such as
toiletries & beverage tray. All this features help the management to train its workers
systematically. These employees are able to predict liner stock & other guest supplies in order to
ensure enough supply to fulfil the need. As a result, supply forecasting is introduce as a
collection of information related to recent suppliers & procedures and political and technological
trends which may influence supply. The importance of forecasting liner stock & other guest
suppliers:
Lowering safety stock requirement: The effective demand for forecasting activity can
directly influence the inventory level planning. This is useful to develop production request
associated with manufacturing operations, plans for promotional activity as well as new product
launches. So the role of management of Crowne Plaza to provide tanning to the workers
regarding maintaining stock requirement.
Utilising demand forecasting data collaborative at other guest supplies: For the
management of Crowne Plaza it is necessary to train workers so that they can know how to

proper digital CCTV that cover each part, active guard team etc. In order to give best security to
their customer Crowne Plaza have different services such as building resist form fire, door key
with card etc. some of the main necessity of security are described below:
Attract the customer: In presents time customer are likely to visit safe and secure place
so that they can spend their vacation time with ease and without any fear. Therefore Respective
Hotel use to provide basis and possible essential security services to customer like Video
Surveillance Systems, Alarm Systems, Sprinkler Systems And Carbon Monoxide Detectors etc.
that aid to grow global image rapidly.
Limiting the damage: It is also consider to be one of vital premises in hotel that makes
customer satisfied like maintenance team, fencing all around the hotel, banned on entry of any
