issues which takes initiatives. In order to enhance standard of society companies opted CSR
activities. Through this process sustainable goals and objectives are easily achieve. It is
considered as advantage for organization. Government of UK framed various types of rules,
policies, regulation and procedure which have to fulfil by each and every types of business
organizations. Through firms are easily able to increase their profit margin and objectives as well
(Ajmal, Helo and Kekäle, 2010). The present report is based on Marriott hotel which is UK
based one of the largest hotel and having various other heads as well in various places. It
provides number of goods and services to their customers and try to meet their level of
expectation as well. While providing number of services, cited firm required to perform CSR
activity in society. In present report needs and requirements of CSR activities has been discussed
which is maintain their reputation in international market. It also analyses data which is
beneficial for growth and development of entity.

In this modern era, it becomes more important for firm in order to plan CSR activities
through which organization can develop market share among their targeted customers. This is
way to attract large number of consumers and increase through profit margin as well. This factor
has been considered as promotional tool for cited firm. They have to manage then in effective
way in order to attain their target and objectives as well (Jeston and Nelis, 2014. Marriott hotel is
UK based hotel which provide varieties of goods and services to their customers. It offers
luxurious services in international market in order to attract large number of people and try to
meet their expectation as well. Cited is able to plan CSR activities which is helpful for them to
attain their goals and objectives. In this modern era, most of the companies are contribute in
providing growth and development of society. It is promotional tool which is helpful to build up
market share and maintain overall performance as well.

Background
Set of goals and objectives are able to reduce conflicts which arise among society and
faced by entire world. With the help of CSR activities companies are able to attain their
objectives and attract large number of customers as well. In present report, the implementation of
CSR is being discussed in Marriott hotel which is able to reduce barriers under successful
functions and operations (Eckerson, 2010). The cited firm is well known as well as famous to
customers so that they have to opted various types of plans and strategies which are able to meet
their objectives. In international market there are several number competitors who focuses on
the CSR activities in order to increase market share. Present analyse is carried out for identify
basic advantages of activities. Government frame various types of rules and regulation which is
have to be follow by companies which are imposed on them. They are effectively support to
organize activities for long term as well as short term productivity. If staff members of Marriott
hotel not implement CSR activities in business organization, then they are not able to attain set
of objectives and goals. Through this reason, they are not able to attract number of customers and
not maintain their performance in international market. Cited firm have to opted various types of
methods and procedure which have to use by members in order to enhance their performance.
Staff members have to implement those plans and strategies as per the requirement. Provide
proper training to their employees in order to improve their skills and knowledge as well
(Wheelen and Hunger, 2011).

be fulfil and their duration of time as well. They have to select starting time of task and its finish
time as well. Project management is beneficial for entire company to maintain their entire
performance and work quality. All members need to comply with mentioned project and follow
rules and regulations.

P3. Work break down structure as well as Gantt chart.
The work of cited firm has been used to divide in effective manner. Work down structure
is basically used to divide work among members according to their skills and knowledge. With
the help of this structure company is able to identify detail of each section and complete in
effective way. The main aim of this project is to ensure work should be managing. It is beneficial
for Marriott hotel because the cited firm is easily able to segregate task. They can able to
determine time in which they can complete task. There are various advantages of work break
down structure for organization. Through this they can be evaluate risk which can involve in
particular project. It divides work in small components through this task can be attain and
manage in efficient manner. It is carried out by the project team in order to accomplish objective
and set of targets as well. It is positively contributing in growth and development of success of

Research design- The entire research is based on this factor called as research design
which is able to perform or managed by researchers. It has been conducted in order to identify its
impact on its performance. There are basically three types of research design such as
experimental, descriptive and exploratory. The research design which is able to effect
relationship is called as exploratory.
In the present report descriptive design has been used which is suitable for it. It is
effectively used by organization to attain their set of target and maintain performance ineffective
way. Cited firm is bound to opted this descriptive design which is beneficial for their long term
success and improve work quality as well.
Research philosophy- This term has been used in research process which is helpful in
growth and development of skills and knowledge while conducting investigation. It consists
several factors such as various beliefs and perception which present in reality as well. There are
two types of philosophies called as interpretivism and positivism.

In present report interpretivism methods has been used which is able to collect data or
information while conducted research. This system is defining effective conclusion which is
appropriate for firm.
Data collection- This factor define significant aspects of research. This is suitable
techniques opted by researchers for gathering important information related to present report in
order to attain their set of target and goals as well. Through this both type of data has been
collected such as primary and secondary. Through this researcher is able to collect new
information which are relevant with present report. This is method of gather information which
has been used in previous research. Further, primary data is being collected with the help of
questionnaire, face to face interviews, surveys etc. Data collection process is helpful to receive
detailed information which are related to present case. On the other hand, with the help of
secondary data information is being collected through books, journals which are referred by
various researchers regarding providing information about CSR activities. This process is able to
provide information that competitive advantage can be attained by develop CSR activities. For
this purpose, investigator have to opted methods and effectively use them to manage their
performance and in efficient manner.
Data analysis- This process has been done with the help of thematic analysis. In this
different types of themes are prepared related to project aims and objectives and after that
interpret each on them with the help of findings. It is able to analyse response of customers. In
this concept logical techniques have been used in effective and appropriate way. The main
purpose of use this method in to collect information which are related to CSR activities and its
implementation in existence of Marriott hotel. Several themes are prepared and each provide
different information regarding CSR activities and implementation.
Limitation- There are various limitations which are able to reduce performance of entire
company which is beneficial for them. Shortage of time is the biggest limitation for them.
Research consists lots of time which is considered as major drawback for them.
Thematic analysis:

Theme 1: Marriott hotel opted CSR activities.
Findings- From the above graph, it has been clear that Marriott hotel is able to opted CSR
activities in effective in order to attain their aim and objectives. It is major benefits for cited firm
to maintain their market presence and maintain performance as well. Through this they can
develop goodwill in international market and which is help to attract large number of customer
as well. Above mentioned graph represent that out of 20 respondents 14 are agree with the
statement that cited hotel opted CSR activity which is beneficial for them and maintain their
performance as well. But apart from that 6 respondent think differently that hotel is not opted
such activities. Through this they can able to attract large number of customers and increase
profit margin as well. It is well known to their targeted audiences which indicates positive
market share. Effective market presence is able to useful for them to maintain their performance
in international market. On this process cited firm invest lots of time and money. It can
contribute in growth and development of organization. Staff members of cited firm have to
manage coordination for this purpose in order to implement CSR activities in effective manner.

Theme 2: CSR activities are beneficial to attain of goals and objectives.
Findings- On the above mentioned graph it has been depicted that CSR activities are beneficial
for cited firm to attain their set of objectives and goals as well. Through this they can effectively
contribute in sustainable development of country. These types of goals are focus on development
of society. Out of 20, 18 respondents are agreeing with the statement that CSR activity is
beneficial for companies to achieve their objectives and goals. On the other hand, 2 respondent
thinks that those activities are not helpful for cited firm. As government frame various types of
rules and regulation as have to fulfil by organization which are imposed on them. Through this
they can maintain smooth functioning. For this purpose, companies have to frame various plans
and strategic and implement them according to their requirement. Through they can able to
enhance standard of living of society.

Theme 3: Competitive advantages can be achieved with the help of CSR activities.
Findings: From the above mentioned graph it has been depicted that CSR help organization in
achieving competitive advantages. With the help of this process Marriott hotel is able to maintain
good reputation and increase number of customers as well. If this process continuously attains by
cited firm, then they receive competitive advantage. Out of 20 number of people 12 respondents
are agree with the statement that competitive advantage can be achieved with the help of CSR
activities. They think that company is able to attain their target with the help of this process
which is helpful their long as well as short term goals and objectives. On the other hand, 6 people

are not agreeing with the statement. They completely deny with statement that there is no such
act has been performed by those activities.
Theme 4: CSR activities opted by Marriott hotel.
Findings- Staff members maintain coordination with each other while working within
organization. Implementation of CSR activities is helpful for Marriott hotel in order to attain
their target and objectives as well. This can be done by cited firm to maintain healthy and safe

environment for members of society. There are 15 respondent agree with the statement but out of
20 people 5 respondent thinks that Marriott hotel is able to opted such activity. They have to
perform their rules and responsibility according to the laws frame by government. Through this
they can maintain reduce child labor and increase level of employment as well. The cited firm
support women empowerment and provide lots of benefits to their female employees.
Theme 5: Implementation of CSR activity is beneficial for organization.
Findings: From the above report it has been depicted that, with the help of CSR companies are
able to maintain their performance in effective manner and attract large number of customers as
well. They have to opted various types methods and procedure which are useful for them. For the
same purpose companies have to provide training to their employees in order to enhance their
skills and knowledge as well. Out of 20 respondents 10 people are agree with the statement that
with the help of implementation of CST activities companies are able to maintain coordination

among members through they can easily attain target. 7 people think that improve their customer
base which is beneficial for them. Out of 20 respondents 3 agree that with the help of
implementation of CSR activity organizations are able to increase their market share.
Theme 6: Time duration of implementation of CSR activities.
Findings- On the basis of above report it has been stated that majority of people are agree with
the statement that in less duration of time period organization can implement CSR. Staff
members have to frame plans and strategies which are effective for them to attain their goal and
objectives. Marriott hotel have to maintain their performance in effective manner in order to
attract large number of customer. Through this they can maintain better position in international

market. In above above graph it is clear that 12 respondent thinks that cited firm is able to
implement CSR within one month. For the same purpose they have to prepare plans and
strategies and implement them as per the requirement. This is forecasting procedure through
which company can maintain their long term as well as short term goals and objectives. 5
respondent thinks that cited can implement CSR within 1 year which is beneficial for them. After
six-month company done same process which is reviewed by rest of 3 respondents.
Theme 7: Government of UK providing benefits to organization regarding CSR activities.
Finding: From the above graph it has been depicted that respondents provide their statement in
favor of company. Government is responsible to provide various types of benefits to company
which is helpful for them. Several tax rebates etc. are the benefits which are provided to them

regarding CSR activity. From above graph it is clear that 17 respondents out of 20 number are
agree with the statement that government of UK is responsible to provide various advantages to
them companies which are related to CSR activities. 3 respondents are not agreeing with the
statement.
Theme 8: Marriott hotel is able to maintain relationship with CSR activity.
Finding- From the above graph it has been clear that Marriott hotel is able to maintain
relationship with CSR activities which are helpful for them. Through this cited firm is able to

maintain their performance in international market and improve work quality as well majority of
people are thinks that the statement is not really true. 10 number of people out of 20 are not
going with the statement they think that cited not maintain relationship with CSR. 7 respondent
thinks that statement is true and they comply with that as well. And rest of people such as 3 are
can’t say on this topic.
P6. Recommendations for CSR activities and its implementation.
It is essential for Marriott to conduct CSR activities on regular basis by this they can
improve their workings and as well as this can support to them for development for social
benefits. CSR supports to organisations to establish a relationship in between society and
organisation. Hospitality sector is having a huge relevance with society so by this they can make
a proper connection with society. CSR also can help to Marriott increase their business in local
communities, connection in between organisation and community provides more opportunities to
improve number of customers in certain time of period. It can increase their customer retention
which can help to them to improve their local business and defeat local competitors in food and
other categories. Relationships can be stronger by using this in actual conditions but it is
essential for the hospitality business entity to add local people in it. In future, Marriott has to
conduct CSR in food safety and reduce food wastage because it is a need for future of world.
This future project can help to organisation to make a better image in their targeted market and
by this they can their own [production cost in Pantry area which is essential for them.

P7. Reflective report.
From above I came to know that if organisation will implement CSR activities then it will be
easy for them to retain in market for a long period of time. Along with this it will also beneficial
for society. Through this organisation can attract more customers and beat their competitors.
Apart from this, I also came to know that if data is collected from primary source then it will be
helpful for organisation because it contains reliability of information. Along with this, when
company is implementing CSR activities it became essential for them first to prepare Gantt chart
so that they can perform their activities in time period. Moreover, my knowledge has also been
increased because different software was used by organisation. It will be helpful for Marriott

hotel to attract large number of customers while providing them quality of services. When I have
conducted this research I have collect may information through secondary data which help to
conduct research process in appropriate manner. With the help of graph and thematic analysis it
analysed that there are many customers who know about advantage of CSR activities but some
are not aware about this. In last, if there is no time limit while conducting this research I will able
to collect more reliable information so that organisation can achieve their objectives in time
period.
CONCLUSION
From the above mentioned report, it can be concluded that there is different aspect of
managing a business organization. In this context, implementation of CSR activities in relation to
Marriott hotel has been done, in this present report. Also, a detailed action plan with aims and
objectives along with performance of activities of cited organization has also been elaborated. In
this light, it can also be said that a plan should be consists of costs, proper and adequate time
structure, effective and prompt channels of communication etc. Moreover, in this report, a work
breaks down structure along with Gantt chart has also been prepared. Work break down is a
mechanism which represent proper allocation of activities to be performed in an appropriate
structure. Also, the management of Marriott Hotel is desirous of proper implementation of a said
project plan for effective application of CSR activities. Furthermore, a small scale research has
been carried out with effective development of quantitative approaches. Considering this, proper
communication channel is also indicated in this present report, for attainment of set desired goals
and objectives.
