Task 2: Report what is your ideal job? My ideal job is to be a capable Human resource manager for a large multinational corporation. The reason for the same is that I believe that I have gifted ability to deal with social relations and maintain them to ideal and functioning at the same time. Considering that in mind I am pursuing my graduation with an intention to possess all the necessary information and knowledge to that profile. Another reason why I wish to be a HR manager is that I am capable of dealingwithconflictcircumstancesandcarryabilityofformingdecisionsthatarewell appreciated by colleagues and supervisor. Job description for the role A job description is the document released by an organisation for a particular job role. This document outlines the summary of the profile and crucial roles and responsibilities which are to be fulfilled by the candidate (Emptage, 2017). Below presenting a job description for the position of Human resource manager for an organisation. Job Description Position: Human Resource Manager Reports to: Vice President HR department Job title Description: HR Manager Department: Human Resource Branch/Division: London Job Summary: Human resource manager will be responsible to counsel and deal with strategic challenges and issues in the human resource department. Ensuring ideal requirements and devising and implementation of strategic plans. Duties and Responsibilities: Formation and development of existing policies and procedures involving human resource department. Work with all section and divisions of the business and assure that coordination and cohesiveness is retained. Ensuring fairness and equity in the quarterly evaluation of employees. Act as a counsellor and mediator in conflicts situation between employeesand management. Reporting quarterly progress to the vice president of Human resources for the London branch. Brief summary of person specifications and how you qualify for the job Below matching some of the requirements competency for a Human resource manager and my competencies. Thehumanresourcesmanagerisrequiredtohavequalitiessuchasintegrity, communication, IT skills, working with deadlines and organisation skills. I can say that I have the necessary skills which are required to be a competent HR manager (Budhwar, 2016).
Although the skills need to be continuously perfected in order to meet the desired performance standards. When it comes to technical knowledge a HR manager needs to have a strong grip on the employment law knowledge and should be able to work on systems such as HR systems and Payroll systems (Haque, 2017). Considering my own knowledge, I can say that I have just began to learn and understand the areas that are covered under employment law. But when it comes to operating HR systems I can say that I have little or no knowledge of how these systems operate and needs to invest lot of time and energy in order to carry a good understanding and emerge to be more employable. On the education front, post-graduation I will be eligible for the position for the Human resource assistant in the organisation. Supported with adequate experience and certification courses I will get hold of my desired job role in a capable organisation. Resources available and their use them to facilitate your job finding process There are numerous resources available over the internet or otherwise which can be helpful in finding ideal job. Below is the brief description of two resources chosen for this section. Online Job portal: These are referred to be one of the most contemporary resources that are helpful I identifying jobs. A job seeker can look for his ideal on job on the professional network such as LinkedIn or Indeed. These platforms carry a filtration process on the basis of skills, academic qualification, interest and experience through which a person can sort through thousands of vacant position and choose the one that he seems fit (Zaroor, Maree and Sabha, 2017). Additional facility which is provided by job alerts under which whenever a suitable opportunity comes, these portals then to notify the individual so that he is able to capitalize upon the same. Staffing firms: There are thousands of recruitment agencies functioning in the country who are working to fulfill vacant positions in the corporations. The people working at such businesses helps in gathering a basic understanding of the market and also acts as guide to form an ideal career path for an individual. It is a crucial resource as working with such agencies does not require any fees and one get to know about the various opportunities which are available in the market.
