INTRODUCTION
The report consist of the benefits of the on-going professional development for different
stakeholders within the Greene King. Greene King is the alcoholic beverage retailer in UK. The
industry is headquartered in the Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England. The company owns
different pubs, hotels and restaurants. The skills and competencies expected by the professional
employers within the Greene King are discussed. The importance of the on-going professional
development is also discussed. The specific assess of abilities, skills and the competences for the
manager’s role are discussed. A range of personal and professional development process related
theories and approaches are given. The skill set and competences with the most appropriate
developmental approach to develop the personal and the professional skills for the manager’s
role are given. A development plan is constructed to enhance the skill set and competencies for
the manager’s role. The development plan is detailed and the learning and the development
theories are underpinned for the Managers’ role. A job interview is given for the hospitality

The on-going development of the professionals at the Greene King helps the retention of
the stakeholders. The company have business model that balances the cash generated with the
investments to the professional development. This also helps in the development of the long-term
growth of the company. This helps in delivering the sustainable development and the
shareholders are divided. The investment of the company in the professional development is the
strategy to maximize the strength, efficiency and the flexibility. This done by the investment for
the existing stakes and the for the new stake holders (Sammon, 2019). The three stakeholders of
the company are:
Pub Partners
Pub partners are the cash generators of the organization. Greene King is divided into two
parts: one is food-focused destination pubs and restaurants which have 466 sites and the second
one is more community-focused local pubs division which have 594 sites. The success of the
retail business is determined by the amount of people attracted towards the company and spend
on the products. The revenue is collected by the food and the drinks that rea available for the
customers.
The managers need to be trained for providing the value outside that is exceptional and
have unbeatable quality. The managers need to be trained to ensure the constant innovation to
provide the customers with the differentiated and compelling product. The ongoing development
of the professionals is the crucial part for achieving the success.
Retail
Retailing helps the organist ion to grow and can be considered as the growth driver. The
pub partners provide the entrepreneurs to operate the pubs and restaurants of the Greene King in
England and Scotland. The organization provide the tenanted pubs with the flexible agreement
range. The revenue is gained by the organization by the supply of beer and other drinks.
