Leadership style is considered as method or technique which is adopted
by leaders in order to provide direction, implement strategies or plan as
well as motivate employees (Leadership Styles, 2020). There are several
different leadership styles which a leader may adopt according their
requirement and need such as autocratic style, authoritative style,
democratic style, affiliative style, laissez faire style and many more. For
conducting respective report different big organizations are taken as
example because that will help in providing proper examples. That will
help in conducting evaluation in effective as well as appropriate manner.
Introduction

Meaning of Leadership
Leadership is considered as the art of motivating group of
people so that they get encourage to act for attaining the common and
desire goal. in respect of business, leadership is considered as
technique or method which is adopted by leader for directing as well as
encouraging workers so that they work accordingly for meeting the
firm’s desire goal and target successfully skills which encompass the
abilities and capabilities of individual or company for leading
company, team and staffs properly for attaining the desire goal
successfully. In addition to this there are main five leadership skills
which is necessary to found in leader such as communication, honest
or integrity, relationship building, awareness, innovation or creativity
and many others skills.

Role of leader
In respect of every organization their leaders plays several roles through
which they able to attain their desire goal and objectives successfully, from
which some of the main leadership roles are mentioned below:-
Decision making – it is role of leader at the every firm that they need to take
some hard choice for the benefits of workplace, employees and organization
(Boukis and et. al., 2020). Be a leader it is essential that they must not afraid to
take any decision as well as at respective company leader also take decision
according to the employee’s performance which help in develop improvement
plans in effective manner.

• Team player – for a leader it is essential that they must be team player
because that will help in encourage employees to work effectively in team
for attaining goal successfully. In respect of respective company their leader
motivates employees so that they work as an effective team because that
will help in providing quality services to customers.
• Be a good listener – in order to become a good leader it is essential to be a
good leader because that will help in understanding issues and problems of
other which directly help in developing effective decision. In context of the
respective company, it is essential for their leader to always be a good
listener because through that they able to understand issues of employees
effectively.

Skills of leadership
There are numbers of skills of a leader which help them in conducting their
work in effective manner. Some of the main skills are mentioned below:-
 Communication skill – It is one of the essential skill of leader according
to which they effectively communicate with the superior as well as
subordinates. This skill also help leader to in effectively communicate
goal as well as inspire trust.
 Team working skill - This leadership skill help a leader in conducting
work effectively in team as well as it also help in motivating others to
conduct work in team. This also aid in ensuring that all the works are
conducted in proper manner.

Characteristics of
leadership
There are several characteristics of leadership which help a leader in conducting their
work in proper way. Some of the main characteristics of leadership are mentioned
below:-
 Open minded – It is character of leader that they are open minded that help
them in welcoming the new as well as innovative idea. By this characteristic
they also able to attain their desire goal.
 Relationship and trust – According to this characteristic leader develop effective
relationship with employees as well as management. Moreover, they also build
trust so that all employees feel motivated and conduct their work effectively.

Skills and characteristics
of John Wooden
John Wooden is a basketball coach in American college basketball. The
main skill of John Wooden is Motivation skill. According to this skill
of he able to motivate others to conduct their work in effective manner.
It will help in attaining the desire goal as well as objective in effective
manner. On the other hand he also have characteristic of Focus on
result. In respect of this character he always focus on the result and
accordingly they plan strategies as well as plans. This will help them in
adopting innovation and attaining desire goal successfully.

Theory of leadership
There are numbers of theory of leadership, from which one main is mentioned
below that is mostly use of a leader at workplace:-
Situational leadership theory – According to this theory leader develop
strategies and plans according to the specific situation. In respect of this
leader conduct evaluation of situation and develop understanding related to
that. This will help them in conducting their work in effective manner.
Along with this it also aid in ensuring that a company can overcome from
specific situation effectively for the attainment of desire goal as well as
objectives.

Leadership style
The leadership style which is adopted by most of the organization are
Directive leadership style and supportive leadership style because through these
leadership style they able to conduct their work in effective as well as proper
manner which leads to attainment of desire goal successfully (Purwanto and et.
al., 2020). In respect of directive leadership style, leader set the clear standard and
guidelines according to which staffs need to follow as that will help in
maintaining the standard of the work by minimizing the errors in the performance.
As company which is operating at the international level so when they follow this
leadership style they able to maintain the standard of their products as well as
services.

Conclusion
By analyzing above mentioned points it can be summarized that for every
company it is essential to adopt proper leadership style according to their
requirement and need. This is so because by it they able to conduct their
business operations and functions in effective manner as it also help in attaining
the desire goal and target successfully. There are several types of leadership
styles which a leader may adopt according to the situation as well as requirement
such as autocratic style, authoritative style, democratic style, affiliative style,
laissez faire style and many more.
